Muslims believe that all Books revealed had the same belief and the same basic rules. Only some rules differed such as the number of times to Pray each day and other things to suit those times.

God did not make a mistake.
The Old Testament shows the condition of human kind, and we cannot save ourselves. The New Testament shows the way of redemption. You need both the old and the new for a complete picture of Christianity.
There is a big difference between being born again and being a Muslim. Being born again means exactly that, you are reborn seing the world in a new light.
In the Book of Galatians, it states that "if we or an angel from heaven, teach any other Gospel than what you have received, let them be accursed"
Islam is an abomination unto God, and is in no way related to Christianity.
Not eating pork and circumcision were both rituals, but also there were health reasons for not eating pork and circumcision during that time.
You need to read The Bible with an open mind to get a complete understanding of Christianity. The Old Testament is not 'negated'. Jesus constantly quoted the Old Testament as authority.
If you don't want angry responses, you could re-phrase your question so it is not so inflammatory.

God did not make a mistake. God commanded that the male child be circcumcise, the circumcision the new testatment is talking about is the circumcision of the heart that is believing in the Lord with all your heart. Any if any christian is saying old testament is washed away with the new testament they are deceiving themselves.

New Testament never "washed away" Old.
New Testament is Old Testament Revealed and fulfilled.
Paul does a lot of writing about this...because in the early church there was a lot of debate, should they still circumsize and so much more. There was a school of thougth that wanted to teach that we still had to obey all of the Mosaic Law.
But to sum up Paul...the Law is only good for showing us what is Sin.. the Law does not have the power to save, nor th power to redeem.
As Jesus is the Perfect Sacrifice, I can add no more, nor can I enhance His sacrifice by continuing with the sacrificial system.
Again...there's a lot to this excellent question, but the sum of the answer revolves around Who Jesus is, and what He did for us in terms of our relationship with God.

The new Testament didn't replace the Old. Both together are considered the Christian Bible. Jesus said He came to fulfill the law,.

Can i describe to a child how to respect the ten commandements? No, he will not understand me , but to tell him to do so and not to do so , he will obey. That was what God has done with the Jews. He gave them commandemenrs and laws , like sacrifising lambs at the Passover . All thses things were just symbols of Jesus , so the lamb of the Passver stands for Jesus, as the eternal sacrifice.
Many other things in the Old Testament are taken by theJews as word by word laws , but by the Christians , they are taken spiritually , like eating meat pf pigs. Jews never eat it , but Christians consider such a law to b standing for sinful ppl, and not pigs , cz pigs stay in mud which refers to sin.
So , the New testament accomplished the Old Testament, and fullfiled all the prophesies in it. It never contradicted it. . Both were God's words.
Nothing in the Old Testament contradicts with the New one. The law of marriage ,for example, God told them in the O.T. to devorse , but devores wasnt that easy , it took 40 days to for a man to devorse his wife , and that that men could change their minds abt that, In the N.T. we never devorse . God accomplished that law. In the O.T. God said never to prostitute , in the N.T. God said that whoever looks at a woman to lust after her , would b a sin.
Good luck!

The new Testament says to kill all those that do not wish Jesus to be king. (Luke 19:27-8)
The qu'ran says to chop off the fingers of non-islam believers before cutting their throats. (Sura 8:12,13)
So the difference seems to be a few digits.

The specific nature of their beliefs. Example: Christians aren't explicitly permitted to have up to four wives, nor supposed to pray five times a day.

I do not think there is any conection between born again christians and muslims. those reborn of the spirit have Jesus living in them and know he is Lord islam denies he is God.
but to your point the new testiment does not wash away the old it forfils it. Jesus' sacrifice paid the price of sin once and for all. and petter was shown by God that no food was bad if it was eaten with the right spirit and thanks to God.
