I have known several.
The first had to have one of her fallopian tubes removed because of this.
The second had a scan done immediately and the baby was in the right place as was the placenta.
The 3rd now has a 2 year old and everything was fine there as well.
My sister had an IUD for 7 year and had no problem. It does happen though.

My mom got pregnant with an IUD - I turned out just fine. She didn't know she was pregnant until she was 5 months either - figuring she couldn't get pregnant with the IUD. That was almost 26 years ago.

i replaced into utilising the the copper IUD and nonetheless have been given pregnant. It didnt fall out the two. Apparantly the egg replaced into fertilized around it? Or some thing like that. anyhow.. I did get pregnant and then they had to take the IUD out. whilst they took the IUD out they reported there's a 50% risk of miscarriage. if your nerve-racking approximately it I recommend you communicate to your loved ones making plans scientific expert and notice if there is probably a distinctive technique which you would be greater gentle with. better of success to you!

There was a woman at my antenatal clinic when I was pregnant with my eldest who'd fallen pregnant with a coil. Because she had the coil she assumed she had a stomach bug, and when it didn't go away went to the doctors who tested her for all sorts of viruses and infections. She missed two periods but that was put down to how ill she was. By the time her mother in law saw her for the first time since all that started and said "Oh my god, you're pregnant!" and she took a test and found out she was, she was 14 weeks. The placenta had grown around the coil and it had become embedded within it. But the pregnancy went without a hitch (apart from all the sickness) and the baby was born on the exact date it was due, weighing 8lbs 1oz and perfectly healthy.

I don't know anyone who has gotten pregnant w/ an IUD inserted but no birth control is 100% - always remember that.

My Aunt did. The baby formed around the coil. Needless to say, the baby was dead and both baby and IUD had to be removed.
