If you really want it...
I mean REALLY want it,
it will be worth waiting for.
I had one of mine done when I was under age(17), 6yrs ago. I wish I had've waited just to think about it a bit more. I wish it was 21 age limit so they couldve told i was too young to decide. At 17/18 you still have alot of odd hormones running about and alot of change in your own being.
Go on - give it 6 months and if you still want the same one, go for it. There are some really awesome designs out there. Maybe you'll get some 18th birthday money so you can get a really good tattooist too.
You can get blood transfered infections/ Hepititis etc. from illegitimate tattooists that dont follow the law. The laws are there to protect people against dodgy goings on.

One way to tell that a place is reputable and serious about their work is if they won't tattoo until you're an adult (18), so please wait until you are. Think of it this way- waiting these 5 months will build the anticipation you already have about getting it + you can take this extra time to think about it and make sure you get the exact design you want. Also, a place that doesn't care to check ID's could very well mean that they are just as careless with the cleanliness and other aspects of their studio. Keep that in mind.

You are so young. Wait to get your tattoo. Those five months could be the difference between getting a tattoo you hate later or getting a tattoo that you'll love forever.

if the tattooist is slack on checking your age then they'll be slack on hygine as well. dont take the chance, wait untill you can prove your 18 with your ID. a proper tattooist should never tattoo below the wrist and anywhere above the neck.
with age comes responsibility or in my case lack of it, i got mine done when i was 28 my missus got hers when she was 40.

Yah- a bad shop. Wait till you're older and be sure of what it is that you want on your body for the rest of your life. Tattoos are so common now, it's not like you're gonna be so bad *** if you get it now. I'm not bring offensive, just think about it.

there are probably quite a few places that are willing to tattoo a minor but WHY would you want to take that risk? don't you know that there are laws against it? did you ever think about the fact that if they don't follow that law they may not follow other laws like... using sterile equipment??? is it worth it to get a tattoo 5 months early at the risk of your health? do you want hepititis? it's just 5 months. be patient.

Just wait, seriously. If somewhere isn't strict on ages then I wouldn't trust them. Plus, whats 5 months? You might have a better design and gone off any others.

I know several tattooist in wales who never question age, however you do have to sign a disclaimer and give your date of birth.wait until you are 18 cause I would bet a grand on it that you get sick of it within the first year.
