I'm catholic and used to be really religous. But i stopped going to church about 2 years ago and have recently stopped praying. I've noticed that things have become so bad for me. What should i do? i would like to go back to church but so ashamed to confess some of the things i have done. i dont wanna live this life anymore. And I am sorry for all my sins. has my life become bad because God is punishing me or is it because he is not helping me anymore? I'm also worried that if i go back to church the devil will try to get me.

JesusChrist loves you dearly my Brother..go to a Church where its Spirit-filled, Born-again, teaching according to the teachings of Christ

Remember,
Luke 9:26
If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels

So get encouraged in God. Shamefulness is brought by the devil, Just rebule him once in the name of Jesus and he shall flee from you. Jesus came to set the captives free, to heal the Broken Hearted, to briong People to SALVATION and to Heaven...God Give you strength and grace to Overcome all your trials..Amen

I always find it so horrible that people think God would punish them for something. I'm going to be perfectly frank with you and tell you I think you're being ridiculous and if you'd gone to church for any length of time, your fellow church members will be ecstatic to have you back no matter what you've done. Unless of course you have a pentagram tattooed on your forehead. JK! Seriously though, I know it's hard, but you're obviously going to feel miserable until you get up your courage and get it over with and then you're going to feel better than ever! But if you have any doubt whatsoever, pray pray pray! That's a tidy little fail-safe. ; )

I hope you feel better and I'll pray for you!!! *that sounded kinda corny, but its true...*

If you will feel better going to Church, then go. If you don't want to confess, is it possible for you to go to a different Christian Church? The others don't require confession. Or you could pray on your own, technically you don't need a church in order to have a relationship with God.

i'm not exactly catholic, but...

if things got bad after you stopped praying it's time to start back up again.
G-d is the One who blessed you with life and all you hold dear...
so pray like you're supposed to! G-d's testing you right now, not punishing, and if you fear the devil then the devil could find it easier to turn you astray, right?!
pray, no matter where you are!
if ya love G-d you'll pray, right?
i'm not trying to force ya, just trying to give a little nudge...

um, the devil wont come and get you whether you back to church or not.
perhaps you might benefit from going to see your priest for a private talk.
i am sure he will reassure you.
or perhaps you need to be in a different church, or perhaps do some research into other faiths etc - maybe you will find an affinity with a different path through Life

good luck

blessed be

I dont want to make you feel bad but judging youself for past transgressons and sins only makes things worse thou shalt not judge that includes yourself. So you should forgive youself like Jesus forgives you. I hope that helps a little bit because when you let go and let God the healing can begin.

Become a Protestant. Then you are still a Christian but don't have to confess to a priest since you are allowed to talk to God yourself.

Sounds like you have already decided what you should do, but you need someone to talk you into it--or you want someone to talk you out of it so you don't feel so bad for not doing it.

start praying. Shame is a form of pride. you need to be humble or you can never become happy. The Lord isnt angry with you. He is waiting for you to come to Him. So why not take Him up on His offer?

The purpose of our being here on earth is to seek God, to allow Him to reveal Himself to us through our everyday experiences and to find our joy in Him forever.

We find God in our love for others for where love is, there God is also.

Your focus is on helping yourself but God says to focus on Him and in finding Him in our relationship with others. God will change who you, the very way you think, rather than solve all the problems in your life.

Get a backbone. Confess and repent.

You think that Christ is not powerful enough to redeem you?

Maybe your life is bad because you are not trying to walk a righteous path so much, but are setting your eyes on other things.
