He is very good to them, pays for their car and mobile phone, we both call in a couple of times a week and our kids who are grown up see them at least once a week. We are going away with our kids and their partners very soon and the in-laws are making us feel guilty because they are not coming - help.....
This is a constant battle, we frequently include them but when we don't they make us feel awful, we're at the point that we don't tell them half of what we do!

Guilt only works if you let it. Sounds like you and your husband are very good to them. What is it that you need to feel guilty about? Are you not in tittled to go some where with out them? They are not your children and I am sure if they are able to go away with you they can go out as a couple as well.
Rather then battle I would say nothing about what and where you are going, I can say that my mil is miserable if we take her with us and is miserable if we go with out her. We no longer tell her anything as it makes it more peace full for all.

Tell them they go on this trip but in exchange for that, you'll be taking their car, phone and limit your visits. Tell them this is real life and in real life, no one gets everything they want.

Tell them that you would love for them to come another time, but this trip is going to be strictly you, your husband, and your children.

It seems as if yall do alot for them and they need to back off, Though they maybe afraid that if he leaves, even for a short period of time, that they wont have any one help take care of them.....Talk to them and tell them this...
