Okay...I want a traditional first dance to "I'll be" by Edwin McKain with my fiance but I want a second more upbeat dance to follow right after the slow dance. My fiance's mother owns a dance studio and dance is her life. I thought it would be a great idea to pick a silly more upbeat song and have her coriograph a dance to it. Only problem is I'll still be in my wedding dress so a salsa or swing dance wont be easy! I mean my skirt is very full and Ill have it in a french bussle for the reception. I was thinking a song like MJ's "The Way You Make Me Feel" or "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by The Darkness...funny songs that would be fun to dance to. What kind of dance do you think would entertain our guests AND that I could pull off with my dress that wouldnt be too slow or too stuffy. Any ideas?

The Darkness' song would be awesome. Your future MIL should be able to help you create a dance that will work with your dress. You just don't want to jump around a lot. Have fun and congratulations!

On Everybody love Raymand. The older brother got married and did a funny dance number with the bride.
- On Youtube one couple and their wedding party did the monster dance to Michele Jacksons thriller song. The girl had a full wedding gown and it was very entertaining

If you want to do the more up beat dances like salsa or swing, maybe you could change out of your wedding dress for that one song. Or...since your dress is going to be very full you can try dancing the American Tango or the Viennese Waltz.

I love "The Way You Make Me Feel" Good choice! Just work with your mother-in-law-to-be to coreograph something that you'll be able to do in your dress. And practice it a couple of times in the dress, too!
