Miniature Rat Terriers. They have such attitude, and intelligence. My mom has two, and they are the sweetest things.

Since you want something chihuahua sized, the only thing I can think of that small is a miniature pinscher (I was about to buy one) or a teacup poodle. These are both around 3 - 6 pounds, and very small.

Toy Poodles are good as they don't shed their hair, making them good for people with allergies and those who don't want to spend their lives vacuuming up dog hair! Only downside is that they need clipping regularly. I've had two and they are my favourite dog breed! I would love to have another Toy Poodle one day.

Pug, Toy size Chinese Shar pei, french bull dog, Dachshund, Bull Terrier, Russell Terrier, Boston Terrier, Miniature Pinscher, by the way Shar pey dogs are so cute if you want to take a look at one just type down mini shar pey, and a lot of web sites will come up lol i hope you found your dog.

i have a miniature yorkshire terrier..and he is the best dog ever!! the miniature ones are harder to find, and a bit pricy, but they're more than worth it..they're the cutest things ever, they're smart, and mine started following me around off-leash after just two weeks of spending time with him!
