I want to be a good Christian but i find it hard to cope with the many contradictions i see with the bible and the existence of God.Ok. If i ask someone why my nose is so big, from a religious point of view they would answers, "because god made u that way". if this is true then wasnt it God who made me question his existence? for some people faith is easy, they learn the teachings of the Bible, and follow them purely based on faith, i am different, i feel the need to question, i have a speculative personalyity and think in a scientific manner. i like to have proof of things, thus Faith is a concept i find hard to accept. And this is the way god made me right? But of course, it can be argued that God gave us free will, it is our choice to go on Faith or question. Even if this idea of free will is true, why would god make it so unfair, what did i do to make it harder for me to simply accept what the bible says and so easy for others to accept. Why's it harder for me to go to heaven?

Way to go! I know what you're going through, but it's awesome that you are starting to think for yourself. I found it in my own best interests to completely disregard religion and live my life the way I see fit after I had a crisis pretty much exactly like you've described. My big problems lie with free will...if my only two choices are a) believe in God or b) spend eternity in a fiery inferno, that doesn't seem like free will to me. I thought that no God, at least one that I would want to associate with, would do something like that to his "children" that he supposedly loves unconditionally. And if he made me that way, and STILL condemned me...that concept of God just wasn't doing it for me.

Just reading your questions gets me to believe you are truly asking the right questions. If you honestly believe it was God who made you question His existence it is a great conclusion. But if you simply ask to put a road block to further investigate, you would simply come to a dead end (obviously you put it there). What I mean is your questions are more or less what most of self seeking Christians go through. I sure did. I once asked why God would punish a man for dedicating his own life to appreciate the beauty of God's creation, say the mt Everest or even a woman, when in fact it was God's awesome power that distracted him from seeking God. Not much dissimilar to your final question "why would god make it so unfair" - believe it or not it, like many other questions, are addressed in the Bible. You may not like the answer but not all truth are so likable.
Your questions are good, very good. I wish for you that you continue asking and advancing your questions. Don't let them stop there.
P.S. you Will find the answer to your final question in Romans 9:19-21.
Peace!

Yes, there is a God. And he loves people with speculative personalities (even if they don't know how to use the spell checker). Remember a Christian is a person that has accepted the teachings and example of Christ as authoritative in their life. As you get more involved in living by that example and teaching, the answers to your questions will come. I don't think there is any other way. Which is how many of the people that answered no to this question have lost their way. God is love and you can't really know or understand anything until you know that. The power of the "Christian Message" is that Jesus loves you.

You have a very genuine question. Unfortunately, the answer, though convincing, is very very lengthy. It would have been better had we been face to face.
Anyhow, I am happy that you have a scientific mind. That will make my job a little easier.
I believe in God. And my belief was strengthened after reading Hopkin's "A BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME". The book is totally related to phusics (time), the author does not say a word about existance of God, but if you read the book, you will be convinced that there is a God.
Second. Please visit follwoing site

It will convince you that life is creation, not evolution.
So with creation, there has to be a God.
Don't get bothered with contraditions between bible and science. Bible was, after all, composed by humans.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- Heb 11:1
It takes a great deal more faith to believe in bad science than it does to believe in sound doctrine.
There are many "supposed" contradictions in the Bible, but no provable contradictions.
If you've got yourself a crooked bible based on corrupted text, then you'll surely find a number of problems.
I am very satisfied to take the King James Bible literally word for word in English.
To be a Christian is to go against popular world belief. And as for "science", you should know better. Science is just man's feeble attempt to explain stuff. You were warned about science falsely so called in 1Tim 6:20, or did your modern easy-to-read bible change "science" to "knowledge"?
And frankly, I find the Genesis account of creation, the fall of man, and the flood to be perfectly scientific. I have no problem with it. The only problem is trying to reconcile sound Bible doctrine with man's crooked ideas.
The bottom line is, I know for sure exactly where I will go when I die. Do you?

I was born a christian but I didnt know God was there. But when I read the bible, I realized that it is true. One things is because there are no big demonstrations of God, but the simplicity and truthfulness in it. I saw my genuine prayers answered. And now which I can never object the truthfulness of His existence because, I have received the Holy Spirit, Jesus promised to send recently, after asking for many years without really knowing whether He is there. I took so many years for me to leave my sin behind to see the holiness of God.
Please read here some incidents I've wrote,

Try answering questions of yourself.... and here is the important part.... giving OBJECTIVE answers.
Put aside your personal opinions... and the personal opinions of humanity and life itself.... and then try answering those questions.
But if it makes life any easier..... think this way: if there was a god that immense WITH an agenda, consider perhaps that the laws of existence would be a little more lax and his / her presence more apparent to everyone and anyone.
Furthermore, if there were a god at all, wouldn't it most likely be completely neutral, uncaring and entirely inhuman?
"Goodness" is a value... a limitation by definition.... and if you start putting limiting values on a supposedly unlimited being.... then what are you left with?

Faith comes from hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Living faith is reading, hearing, studying, learning what the bible says, and applying it in laying the foundation and building upon it that is metaphorically represented by the armor of God in Ephesians 6, which is truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and prayer.
Faith is a muscle that grows with exercise, so in that regard the strength of our faith is determined by how much we choose to exercise it.

If you are in a free will why you question. You can do whatever you want you need not hear any warnings of the world and need not follow the traffic rules. Am I correct?. if you disobey traffic rules you will be punished. Because God did not punish us for our disobedience, can we say there is no God. Will you only believe if God punishes you of every wrong question or wrong doing. Because God gave us free will can we abuse.

If the Bible turns out to be completely false, it still won't prove or disprove the existence of some sort of God. You don't need the Bible, just try to figure out what God means to you and follow that.
God could be energy, love, a state of mind, the universe itself, a being, or something that we cannot comprehend.
