I doubt that you can use my choice of what my husband and I like about steak.

We like an occasional Rib Eye Steak.

Mostly we like to cut up a couple of tenderloins and make tender Beef Tips with gravy or a scrumptious Beef Stew with carrots, potato's, celery, onion's and leeks - sprinkled with parsley.

Beef Tips and gravy with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob.

Beef Stew with light and fluffy Drop Biscuits that melt in your mouth.

I know. . . . don't say it. You think we are nuts.

It's the truth and nothing but the truth.

Good Question. Thanks, you have my mouth watering for beef tips made from choice steak.

Mmmm steeeeaaak!!! I was not one to fully appreciate the splendor that is the steak until recently. For, you see, I hate steak sauce, and so any time I'd had steak prior to this "enlightenment", I was left disappointed. I mean, sure, it was good, but it was dry. But what happened recently is I ordered steak with shrimp at Joe's Crapshack, and might I just say: WOW!!!! Now, there were all sorts of juices and spices added to the dish as a whole, but when combined with the shrimp, I could've died. I was eating with my girlfriend and I would have gladly sold her into slavery for more of that food.

I love steak. I love to grill my steak. I use a seasoning salt I pick up at a local met market called Von Hanson's. It's mostly salt, sugar, paprika, black pepper, and other spices (mustard seed, celery seed, and others). This leaves your steak juicy and tender coming off the grill. I've found this stuff works great on t-bones, rib-eyes, and filet, just basically the harder to grill steaks.

i am a woman, but i'll answer anyway (for myself and my husband because he would say the exact same thing)......
a good steak is worthy, but an excellent steak would definitely win over my heart. there are only a few simple things to an excellent steak...
*has to be a fabulous cut of meat (potrerhouse, filet mignon, chateaubriand)
*only salt and pepper (maybe a hint of garlic, but no sauces, no fancy herbs, etc.)
*must be properly cooked (slichtly caramelized on the outside, medium rare inside)

added to say............
great words of truth i have heard all my life throughout the culinary world.... "if you like you steak well done, you don't like steak."

I love a man sized steak... a 1 & half to 2 inch T-bone or one of chunks of beef on the bone that they grill up for you in Tuscany.

I love steak. And i know how to grill my own. I marinate in garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper and Balsalmic. Because I know how to grill a good steak I am very picky about ordering one at a restaurant.

it's my meat of choice and I prefer to cook it for myself or if my g.friend is cooking it for me, I'll have a quick look at it occasionally to make sure it's going ok. I like pepper cream sauce with it, along with mushrooms and onions and to have it medium-well done.
