I was explaining to my students of first grade that a new plant develops from the seed and that seeds are found in the fruits of the plant.
My students raised the question why can't seeds found in fruits like apples, chikoos, etc. be used to cultivate a plant.
How should I solve/ explain their query?

Some seeds have a dormancy period before they can actually germinate if i am not wrong. So even with favorable conditions , the seeds may not germinate for some time?

Yes every plant has seed and they can use to grow a plant of which the seed belong to the plant

seeds in apples are called the pips, and they are there, some country's remove seeds and pips with special (chemical but as first graders) water that makes the fruit grow but not make seeds, all fruit make seeds naturaly, all veg does does not,

they can if provided with suitable conditions
if we talk about apple its sensative so needs soem condiotions to be maintained
