I am sorry that you are going through this. You need to ask yourself this, Do you believe that there is a higher power of some sort? Or do you believe that there is no higher power whatsoever? If you are doubting that any sort of higher power exists whatsoever, then yes, you are becoming an atheist. But of you are iffy on it, for example you believe in the possibility of there being a higher power, but are skeptical, then you could be becoming agnostic. Your truth that you seek can only be found inside you and how much research you do. Educate yourself with several views and you will find your own path.

There's nothing you can't handle. Really. You may not want to, but you can. The search for truth comes from your heart, your spirit. Your spirit knows truth. If you can get your mind quiet, you can hear from your spirit.
The search for truth will take you to many strange places. I mean within yourself. You won't make a jump from one belief to another. Instead, you will find that as you take in new information and process it your beliefs kind of feather in and out. Truth is a gradual process.

Go to http://www.rationalresponders.com read what they have to say. You can also go here http://www.youtube.com/user/RationalResponse to watch their videos. I was once where you are, and the realization that I had been living a lie and giving up that lie was the most liberating thing I've ever done.
Wish you well on your journey to freedom.

That Jesus is the Son of God and Savior of mankind.
Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

What's happening is that you're growing up, and beginning to question the "absolutes" of your childhood. there is nothing wrong with you...this is a normal step to maturity. You'll find your path, whatever that may be.

Look at john 1:1-14
The word was god and was made flesh!!
JESUS is GOD!! The reason he cried out on the cross is the spirit of god had pulled out from the flesh because the spirit of god can not die but the flesh had to bear our sin and die on the cross so he could defeat death and the grave!! He felt so alone with the spirit pulled from him and thats why he said my god why hath thou forsaken me!!
we baptize in Jesus name. as preached thru out acts. some say they are the same we dont believe that at all. upci is united pentecostal church international. most apostolic penecostal churches believe this
there is verses in romans that talks about how we were baptized unto his name as well.
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Luk 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
in luke we find it saying that it should be preached in his name. this goes perfect with acts 2:38
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
again you said in math. it says in the name of the. name is singular. Jesus said i come in my fathers name, and we already know the name of the son, and that the comforter which is the Holy Ghost will be sent in his name.
if you were not baptized in Jesus name then how does romans apply to you when it says so many of you who were baptized into Jesus not into the godhead or into the Father Son and Holy Ghost but Jesus
Source(s):
any one who says that Jesus name baptizem is wrong must not believe in the Bible then. they cant show you anyweres in the Bible were someone was baptized in the formula of father, son and holy ghost. there was only 2 ways one was johns baptizem the other Jesus name. Jesus name also is found many times. there was another verse too that talked about how baptizem is being buried with christ. and so one might say see all baptizems are correct dont matter because there are 2 in the Bible well one way was told that they had to be baptized in Jesus name. those who were baptized under john had to get rebaptized
ct 19:1 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
Act 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
Act 19:3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
Act 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Act 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Act 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
again i for one think there is a differance and that when we use the formula Father Son and Holy Ghost we are just repeating what Jesus told us to do but not doing what he said to do. doing what he said i believe is going out and being baptized in the name of Father, Son and Holy Ghost and that is Jesus. so baptized in Jesus name. why do we cast out demons, pray for the sick to be healed or whatever else in Jesus name but not baptize in Jesus name. and to say again we are a cult because we do this. a cult is not backed up with the Bible. we are. those who do it the other way it is not backed up. one verse. however in Jesus name still goes with that verse. because the name of all 3 is Jesus. there is no other name given among men were by we must be saved. second that verse is only found 1 time and however you wont find anyone baptized in that manner. so to say we are cult because we go with the Bible is a lot to say. and i pray for you.
and yes we believe in one God as well. hope this helps you out.
i will also say pray over this too dont take my word or anyone elses word. but the Word of God. for you will find many will say things. if you have not been baptized in Jesus name and need to find a church there should be a oneness church near you.
funny how one person talks about who do we follow Jesus or peter. however paul also taught to baptize in Jesus name and it was not just done in acts 2:38.
Jesus gave us a command in the name of not names of. why because there is only one name. the Bible also tells us to follow peter and paul. and says they were taught what to preach. they were with Jesus were you and i no. they were and they taught what Jesus wanted. how can you believe a part of the Bible and not the rest????
Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
plus all scripture is from God. as men were told from the Spirit what to write. not there own. so God told paul who wrote acts what to write.
