I'ts good. There is no problem with taking tea though you might get addicted to it. I am brought up taking tea in our family and can do it as many time as we prepare tea for breakfast, when a visitor calls in, and in the evening. I am now an addict I cant make a day without tea especially the before 10.00 o'clock in the morning I must take tea or i will have a very severe headache. You can decide, tea is not bad.

The official advice of today is that tea "is" good for you, again. For a few years, scientists and Governments had been advising against it due to the caffeine. However, they now say that tea is absolutely great and does good for the body. Like all foods and drinks, most people do not listen to Government and scientist advice as they keep changing their minds. One day, Omega 3 is great for memory and brain development etc. etc. It was recommended that all schoolchildren get Omega 3 every day. Today, they admit that Omega 3 serves no real purpose and does not improve memory etc. In the UK, people are encouraged to eat "5-a-day". They are told that to have a healthy life, you have to eat five portions of fruit and / or vegetables a day. I would question that. During the Second World War, people were lucky to get one a day and they were healthy. The only benefit I can see from five-a-day, is to the farmers (increased productivity and more profit) and the government (more tax income). You drink as much tea as you like and don't worry, the Chinese have been drinking it for thousands of years and it's never done them any harm. Also, if you watch any UK soaps (Eastenders, Coronation Street etc.), you will notice that whenever there is a problem, they make a cup of tea. Whenever they eat, they have a cup of tea. If somebody dies, they will make a cup of tea. Tea helps you to become more focussed and relaxed, that's why the British love it.

It's a fairly well documented fact that 2-3 cups of black tea a day is very good for you - it contains various chemicals which stimulate alterness in your body (or something like that), and is atributed to reducing stress inducing hormones & promote a healthier heart. It's then down to what you put in it. Milk wont really have any negative effects, though it's better if you used half-fat. You then have sugar - this is going to be the down-side of drinking 3 cups of tea - lots of sugar isn't great for you, so try to stick to no / 1 sugar, and you'll be fine.
