Why do all Africans believe that invitations have to be formal and / or written by a solicitor or some so called advisor that only scams money out of them. There are no standard letters and no standard formats. All genuine invitations for holidays, weddings etc. are written the same as normal. In other words, you would start with Dear Mam, Dear Mother, Dear Mommy (if you are rich and posh) etc. Then you write like normal, how are you? etc. etc. then mention that you would like her to come and stay for three weeks, one month etc. and then mention the reason for the stay and finish with Love whoever or lots of love, whoever or missing you, whoever (whoever being your name). As a word of warning, do not pay anybody to write the letter for you. Too many Africans are conning others by making them believe that there is an official way to write an invitation and it has to be done by them (they usually claim to be a Legal Advisor, a Lawyer etc. when they have no brains). An invitation is an invitation and nothing else, would you get a solicitor to invite your mother to your wedding? Of course not!
