IMs are a great vessel for computer viruses. That's why I don't IM. I don't know other people's reasons, though, for not having it.

because we don't want to talk to a bunch of annoying people who don't know how to ******** talk. seriously. maybe if you can create an understandable sentence, and learn how to spell right, we might think about it, but probably not even then. i allow im, i think, but i still don't even reply to people when they get on, or try and talk to me, because well, i like to have a life and go do stuff, sorry, i just don't feel like sitting around instant messaging random people, who i know nothing about. I'm not trying to get myself in more trouble than i can handle, sorry

At the top of your screen, on the main page for Yahoo, look for your screen name. It should say "Welcome (it will have your screen name after the word welcome). There may or may not be a down arrow point. You have to to tell your screen name page to turn your IM on. You do this by clicking on it. Or go to your profile page on Answers and turn your screen name on there. I just tried to IM you. Check back if you get on. Hope this works for you. Good luck :)
