how come they are Christians when they reject the teachings of the Catholic Church --- The Church that Jesus Christ Himself founded?

just wondering, because I was surprised when people ask about Christianity, these Bible-fundies think I don't have the right to answer since I am Catholic. they believe that the Catholic Church is not a Christian Church since its name is "Catholic". I really find that one absurd.

FYI, the center of Christianity is the Vatican City, that's where Catholicism is. Catholicism IS Christianity.

so anyway, why not just call them Bible-funadamentalists because that's really what they are?

You do not know what you are telling , you little girl..
The founder of the Roman Catholic Church are the Romans which originated from the Pagan religion who have no God. Jesus Christ is the founder of the Church of God which is the true religion as stated in the bible.

The teachings of the Catholics has some parts of the pagans like the worship of wooden and stone images which were made by man and claimed by the catholics to be the picture of God but nobody have seen God.

The name alone which is Roman Catholic Church indicated that it is not a true christian religion but a religion of the Roman people.

A true Christian religion believe in Jesus Christ and they are the followers of Jesus. They obey the teachings of Jesus in the Bible. If you only read the bible until you could understand it, I believe you will come to know that catholics are not following the whole teachings of Jesus. Only part of it is being followed by the catholics. Catholics even call the pope, priest, Bishop as their father since it is very clear in the bible that we shall not call any person as fatther because the father is God who is in heaven.

Catholicsm is false christian religion. You were guided on the wrong path.

A Christian is someone who follows Christ. The Catholic church was not founded by Christ. Pick up a Bible and read it for yourself instead of having your priest tell you whatever his priest told him it means. If you were to study your history, you would find that People followed Christ from the time He was on earth to this present day. The Catholic church was founded on beliefs they got from the Christians (who were already presently preaching throughout the Roman empire), then distorted them to fit their own agenda, mixed them with the beliefs of the pagans, and operated under the banner of Christianity. Later, during the Inquisition, the Catholic church hunted down and committed to brutal torture those who would not conform to their corrupted ideas of so-called "Christianity", including the TRUE followers of Christ. Since the Catholic church became the largest church in the Roman Empire, those nations that are predominately Catholic are what is known today as Christendom.

Jesus most definitely did not found the Catholic church. If anyone can be said to have done so it was the Emperor Constantine, a brutal militaristic man who had prisoners of wars ritually slaughtered in the arena for entertainment.

Catholic history has been little more noble ever since. Its strong lings to political power through its association with Constantine allowed it to amass great wealth, and it pursued a policy of brutal repression of any ideas with which it did not agree. This set back human knowledge by at least 1000 years, and it was not until Galileo stood up to the pope that progress in science was made.

Catholics do a lot of things in their churches that the bible says not to do.

Such as the bible says to call no man Father, because you only have one and that is God; you guys call your priests Father.

We are to make no graven images, your church is full of them.

You worship Mary and the saints like they could do something for you.

One thing they have right is Jesus is the Savior.

I am not judging just sharing truth. Read the Holy Bible and see how many things in there that the Catholic Church is doing that the bible says not to do. I have only mentioned a few. Make up your own mind.

I am not a Catholic, however I do believe that Catholics are Christians. I am a believer in the idea of salvation by faith and using only the scriptures as the basis for my faith as opposed to what the Pope in Rome and his priests say. Does that mean that they are wrong and leading you astray, no that means that I do not agree with their interpretation of the Bible. It is just the same if I do not agree with a Methodist or Episcopalian.

If someone calls christians as bible fundamentlists he has no knowledge of christian belief. Christianity starts at rejecting bible alright and partly teaching of Jesus also. "Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who become circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. (Saint Paul's Epistle to Galatians 5:2-4).

Because Bible-fundamentalists is too long to say. How about just "fundies"?

FYI: my family are fundies. But I've escaped. I don't know much about Catholics, so no judgement here. I think your idea is good, though. Thanks for acknowledging the...hmmm...uniqueness of fundie beliefs. (*cough* crazy *cough* beliefs).
