Weight Loss Facts:
Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.
Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK.
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.
What about Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig Dieting Plans?
Weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers (and Jenny Craig) usually involve slower dieting progress over a longer period of time, since such programs generally promise only 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week. Also, programs such as Jenny Craig usually involve buying special meals and/or dietary supplements during the initial phases of the program. While some people may like these types of dietary programs, we prefer a dieting plan which focuses on faster weight loss, such as the Accelerated Fat Burning Program shown below...

If you're already dieting already, make sure you're getting enough calories all the time and not drastically altering your diet throwing your metabolism out of whack.
The only other thing you can do if exercise. I accidentally cut my diet 2000 calories when I started running 10 miles a day and lost 10 pounds in a week. I don't recommend that.

i kinda think 50 is a bit too much for 7 months. At first you might be loosing really fast. but then your body will get used to these new standards, then you'll have to either add more exercise or decrease calorie intake.
Maintaining the final weight is also hard to do.

I lost 67 lbs in 4 months, you can do this. To briefly put it just need a very strict diet of lean meat (chicken) veggies, lots of water. Basically all natural foods... nothing processed. No fast food whatsoever. And a weekly gym routine 5-6 days a week of cardio. Weight training is optional but you have to do it every other day and give your muscles time to rest in between.
Good luck...

losing weight by limiting calories to 2000 or something like that would just slow down your metabolism. i'm not saying that you're not going to cut off anything...increase cardiovascular exercise instead... much better, vary your calorie intake... for example today you consume 2500, the next day, 2000, next day, 1800 calories then the next day, 2300.... varying your calorie intake will speed up your metabolism... of course you need to work out.... don't just intake a certain amt of calories everyday since nothing will happen to you.. yes, you may lose weight but you'll gain it back so easy because you slowed down your metabolism.
limit your protein & fat intake... most americans consume more twice the amount needed.
vary your calorie intake by 200 calories, at least. by doing variations/fluctuations, this will trick your metabolism and it will surely speed up as i said previously.
also, increase your physical activity. you can vary them too. if you just stay constant, youll just lose the minimum weight. youll lose more if you do intervals/fluctuations...for example tomorrow you run for 60 mins, then the next day after that, 50, then next day, 70 mins, then 30, next day take a break, next day 40 mins etc etc... something like that.. youll burn more fat.
run around the neighborhood, play sports, do jumping jacks in your room when your bored, do sit ups, the jump rope is fun too. Instead of snacking in front of the TV, go do your chores. Help out your parents etc. [if youre not an adult and you live with your parents.. at least you would do something productive and you wouldnt be so lazy
stick to it, just think that youll achieve the weight you want
http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.htm
tools in that website would be helping you out
http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
this one if for calculating your ideal body weight.
for sure that will lose 50 lbs in 7 months if you stick to it.. btw, doctors recommend fasting 3 days a week.
that will help too.... but be careful, after the fast don't just go binge on food.. after you fast, just eat fruits, then the next day, cars, the next days, you can be back tonormal.. work out work out though!.. don't work out during your fast.
stay healthy =]
i hope that helps.
much love,
kimpeace
