Would the Germ Theory have been proven true through human observation only with out the microscope ever being invented?

Theory yes, if they were smart enough,

Proof no, not without a microscope to see such pathogens.

You can't back up theory without proof, just as you can't back up proof without theory, Galileo was locked away because he had theory and no proof and in 'days of old' whoever concocted 'germ theory' would have been locked away in the same sense. But thereagain Galileo was locked away because of the church, when it comes to medicine, if there was a 'germ theory' im sure somebody would invent an object to prove it, so either way the microscope would of been invented.

Though no one seriously disputes the Germ Theory outright, there are some who believe that it is incomplete as a theory of disease. The most commonly cited reason is the clinical inaccuracy of the 3rd of Koch's postulates, which states that any susceptible animal infected with a pathogenic microbe should express symptoms. Koch himself later recanted this postulate after evidence showed asymptomatic carriers of typhoid and cholera.
