i just bought an HP Plasma( HP PL4272N) and i cant get my dishnetwork installed on it, nor can i hear anything

Please Help!!! i cant hear anything and i cant install my dishnetwork on it, any help.... Thanks very much.......

Are you using component or HDMI?
If you are using HDMI make sure the Dish set-top outputs in PCM and NOT in Dolby Digital.
If you are using component, make sure you connect both audio and video cables.
HP has some excellent flash demos on how to connect your TV to the rest of your home components.

You probably have a standard def recvr, Call dish and see about upgrading, on good customer accounts they have a excellent rebate going on. 100.00 back and then another 10.00 off for 10 months. (yeah you'll pay a upfront price but it's worth it) You will also need a HD programming package that's 20.00, A HD leased recvr fee 6.00, If you chose DVR functions it's 5.98 (THERE IS A NEW VIP722 recvr aval apon request ONLY!) ZThey will come out, Hook up the recvr to the new tv set and install another dish to get HD chnls. Keep in mind your 10.00 for 10 months will take 8-10weeks to apply to the account once they get your rebate form. Which you can print out your rebate form at the address below. But connecting up your old recvr to a NEW HD recxvr won't do it any justice, You'll have better picture quality from HD equipment, after all better picture quality is why you bought a HD TV right?
