If your so anti tattoo, why even answer tattoos questions. Its like oh Im a coward, and I would never say tattoos are "trashy" or stupid, etc...to your face, but I will however go online and try to talk you out of one, instrad of answering your question. Hey those of us who LOVE them, don't really care what you like anyway. I guess you couldnt come up with any real answers to other questions so you chooose to dump negative thoughts into the tattoo category. Well congrats on your 2 pts, and you can lick my "tramp stamp" lol. All of you reading this who agree, leave your opinions too. "give em something else to talk about."

Oh, it's time to turn the tables and use what they say against them. In almost any question about why did you get your tattoo(s) or what do you think of them, or even just a basic care question, you always find at least one "they only do it for attention". As far as tattoos are concerned, most of us don't do it for attention just laugh at the fact that we get so much and accept it. I think, keep in mind this is what I have come to establish, they batter the tattoo section to get attention themselves and don't care if they are wrong, rude or uncalled for in general. I hate closed minded idiots ... (Meant as a general statement about people who are closed minded idiots, not stereo typing)

-I will be the grams that has more than scars to tell stories about. I have atleast two if not three more planned out among more piercings. Every tattoo is original and individual even if it's the same rose, the person makes it different.

I don't have a problem with tattoos, but I tend to ignore them because I don't see much originality in the artwork. I don't think it makes a person look trashy or stupid, but at one time it was an unusual look, and now it is becoming passe.

A lot can be said for happiness and knowing what YOU want though. If you want a tattoo and it makes you feel happy, go for it.

Hey it's a free country, just because I'm not into tattoos doesn't mean they should be outlawed. Hell here in South Carolina until recently, tattoo parlors were illegal. Don't people have something better to do then b*itch about other people's tattoos?

Sheesh.

The flaw in these questions is that those people that do that never answer these. They are cowards, just like you said, and if they were really so firm in their beliefs they would let people email them and have actual discussion with them instead of hiding behind their anonymity.

I do believe I just called them out.

I agree. I can't wait until I'm old enough to get my tattoo. My mom'll yell at me, but she has one so she can't really tell me not to.

And I do have a reason for the tattoo I want. It's a little too personal to be posting all over the web though.

I would never get a tatto but Im not going to dump on someone who wants one. I think they can look cute and its a way of expressing who you are. I have no reason to dump on other people for the chocies they make its there life might as well let them live it the way they want to..

Most of those who bash tattoos and their wearer's are people who are prudish and follow the old religious belief that 'your body is a temple'. Well, this 'temple' is mine and I choose to decorate it with wonderful art. Tattoos have been on humans since man figured out how to do it. I don't care what a people think about them. There is some wonderful art being created on skin out there. It won't ever go away, so they may just want to keep their opinions to themselves. They may be the minority pretty soon!
BTW, I have 7 tats and hope someday to get a few more.

Sorry but becoming so worked up about other people opinion and what they might say... doesn't look clever to me. You're not a teenager, you should be more wise. If a dog is barking in the street on you, do you stand on your fours and start barking back? May be it's also thinking something bad about you.

It's not that I hate tattoos, but the whole thing is just so commonplace now. It's actually more rebellious to not have a tat or a piercing on your face. More and more people are doing it out of sheer imitation rather than authentic self expression.

As far as I'm concerned it's their body and they can do whatever they want with it but if they ask about a tattoo on yahoo answers I put my input into it i.e. "Make sure it's something you're 100% about". If they seem unsure about their tat I'll remind them that they may become a grandma with a tramp stamp one day.

I found one statement ironic and amusing. Someone generalized anyone who doesn't want a tattoo as close minded and religious.

Way to enlighten the ignorant.
