I'm moving into my first apartment, and I really have no idea how to decorate the bathroom. I usually think themed rooms are tacky; however, I'm on a limited budget and did stumble across this one at target: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602-7554679-7303036?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000HZBOHQ
Do you all like that one? My walls are an off white/bone kind of color, so I don't want to get the white matching towels.. What color towels should I hang? And also, if you have any other ideas let me know, cause I'm definitely not dead set on this one yet.

I think it's pretty cute and you're right not to use white towels, use black or pink. The only problem I see with this set is that you may get sick of it quickly. Will you have a shower curtain? If so, the first thing to pick is one you really love. If you aren't dead set on this target set, don't get it. I'm afraid you won't want to live with it for long.

That's not something I would put in my bathroom, but it depends on your age and tastes. I would want a bright/ fun feel for my bathroom, If you have a small space go for a "luxurious look" add some nice burgungy towels, and use an off-white hand towel to put on top, maybe with an personalized letter, or a little decoration to add some apppeal. A nice thick rug,and go for detail in your shower curtain rings, and opt for a solid or clear colored bath curtain, the shower clips will bring out the curtain more. Hang up a nice picture in there , maybe an old-fashioned themed one if that's what you like, you can add those with the things you already sought out from Target. If you have a larger space to decorate go for a fun feel.Lots of bright colors and decorations.Oh, and Good Luck!

SInce bathrooms are usually smaller, try to keep it simple as it will probably make it look bigger. Try keeping most of the colors neutrul, including the towels and shower curtain - then just use a couple items like pictures to add color and pop. The most popular color combo right now is a light blue/teal color and brown. Those can be done nicely with white/off white walls.

noooooo !!! if you have off-white walls, almost any color will do. tan towels, burgundy accessories, or blue & yellow, or green & brown. the combos are endless, so go to wal mart or k mart or target & match some nice colors that you like.
