cutie, your voice is just developing, so sing with your school choir, a church or religious choir if you attend one, and learn to play the piano or keyboard well enough so you can practice your music well. Don't chase fame at this time, it's not good for the lifelong development of your voice (known as your instrument.) Read up on Charlotte Church who began young, knowingly choosing early singing over possible loss of her voice later on, which has not happened yet. Though she is likely only 20 to 22 now.

If you do choose to sing professionally at your age, you need a really top-end vocal coach who can prove that he or she has trained some well-known people. Best of luck to you, send me a "note" to tell me how you do.

"Famous singer," as you put it, can mean many things. Most in the category of "famous singer" are classically trained vocalists who have either attended a vocal conservatory or majored in vocal performance at a university. Classical work is most commonly opera, and companies are all over the country, most notably in New York and San Francisco. If you are thinking "I want to be a pop star," it is a completely different form of singing which can be learned but only if you get the correct training - else you blow out your voice and get nodes and can't sing anymore. Plus, it's a career based on image as opposed to a classical career which is pretty much based on talent and training. If you want to be on Broadway, find a voice teacher who can train you in belt and legit styles. these are most commonly used in musical theatre, and there are TONS of musical theatre companies from community playhouses to national tours. Basically, understand your goal, get the proper training and learn to audition well.
