Why would you want to stick some arbitrary age as to when someone should lose their virginity? Especially if it's your own daughter? Unless of course your're a teenager yourself and are looking for someone to give you 'permission'. I say that because this is just an odd question for a parent to be asking to begin with. And cliche as it may be, who wouldn't want their daughter (or son) to wait until marraige? Everyone has different cirumstances but I think in general the longer you wait the better. You'll be smarter, more mature and able to handle everything that's involved.

I don't have a daughter, but I'd like to someday, and based on my own experience, I'd say that this isn't a question with an easy answer.
It would really be based on the girl, and her maturity level. Some girls are mature enough to handle it at, oh, say 15 or so, and other girls should't become sexually active until their 20's (or later). I know some girls who began having sex younger than that, and some of them now (my friends and I are all in our 20's) regret it, and some of them don't.
I didn't loose mine until I was 17, with my boyfriend. We'd only been together for a few months at that point, but here we are 5 years later, and getting married in two weeks.

20-25 but that won't happen. I'll probably die if it's more like 16 or younger (YIKES!). If I had a reasonable choice I'd hope for 18-19 IF she "can't hold out". You can tell her no but you can't make her listen (what girl anymore doesn't want to try it before she buys it?). If she's emotionally prepaired to deal with anything that goes with it, then I guess I've done my work. Damnit. Sadly I was 16 and NOT in love but, on the bright side to that it was not the end of the world when we broke up. A lot of girls can't take it when they split up with their first. Just get a girl on bc...even if they say their not active.

I don't think I have any right to give my daughter an age where she should lose her virginity. I have raised her to know what the right and wrong decisions regarding sex are, and therefore, she should be able to make the decision on her own...but I would prefer that a girl didn't lose her virginity before sixteen, because I don't think the actions/consequences are as fully understood.

I would say wait till marriage. Since that doesn't happen that often, 21 would be good. Any age is good as long as she knows she has to live with the consequences with the rest of her life (in case she gets pregnant).

If your having to ask an age on whats acceptable...then your not ready, plain and simple. If your having to ask some sort of permission or w/e it is from yahoo answers people then you need to find something that will be much more productive and beneficial to your life than a quick sex romp just to lose ur virginity. The best of luck to you, I hope u figure things out quickly!!
