I have to say one thing to all Christians, Muslums, Atheist, Wiccan, Pagans anr so forth...

How dare you criticize each other? Each one of you are thought to respect others, (except maybe atheist) stop putting people down for thier own beliefs.

Christians - stop telling people thier evil, for things like " I wanna have a halloween party"
Atheist - Stop throwing your depression of no god onto people who truly believe there is! And then spitting on them when they stand up to you!
Muslums - Stop forcing yourslef on being the only one right!
Pagans - Stop hating other people for being 'normal'.

this is absolutly ludicrus!!! I hate seeing all this comotion between religion.
It might sound stupid but can you all get a long??!!
I am Christian with Atheist - Daoist friends. God never tought me to disrespect other religion and i really feel horrible that everyone else thinks that it thier job to do so!

I think your point is well worth considering - I find it interesting how often people look at how the message is delivered, rather than the message. Its as if we don't say it perfectly, then our opinion is disqualified. Silly really. Keep speaking from your heart - practice makes perfect.

Wow.
Frankly, the last thing I would EVER want to do is criticize someone for being NORMAL (Just to let you know, that was sort of an offensive thing to say. I am Wiccan, and I'm perfectly normal). I <3 normal people. Sanity is my refuge.
I agree with you for the most part. But people feel the need to prove themselves superior, and thus prove their religions superior, by using insults and vicious comments. I do feel, however, that a well-mannered, and intelligently-put conversation between people who know what they are talking about, and don't make convictions they cannot back up, is something that we NEED in this world.
Things like that can actually help us to discover more about ourselves and the religious we follow. I do hope some sort of peace comes.

It's comical to see someone who doesn't have a clue feel as though they can reprimand others who do. For your information, we atheist are not depressed about not having a god. We are happy with the knowledge that there is no god to dictate to us or to make us do things against reason. Who have we spit upon? No one. Stop telling lies. Isn't that a sin in your religion? Then stop it. You just insulted everyone and then say you were taught not to disrespect other people's religions. HA! Chill. We are doing fine just as we are.

Every time I step back a Christian reminds me in one way or the other of all the ancestors of mine they called Witches or Heretic and murdered. The times they have egged my car and destroyed a Samhain display. The time I had to fight half a dozen of them because I was a "witch."

I've come a long way, but I still remember. For every Protestant Christian that follows the Gentle Rebe's words there are ten that only want to think they are better than anyone else--and condemn the anyone else to their Hell. ........and probably help them get there.

Edit: It is late at night and I am tired. Diplomacy and tact are out the window and the truth is told.

Oh dear what can the matter be ? It is a nice thought, to have cultural diversity without the God factor or not factor, becoming a fact.

Have the Gods ever got on ? God hates Satan, Satan hates God in our Christian world. In ancient beliefs the Gods are always having conflicts with each other. To ask we mere mortals to behave is like asking George Bush to stop killing Iraqis, how can he, God told him too. Oh dear God does not like Allah so here we go again.

I'd rather be spat at than have a bomb dropped on my head to be honest.

Because most religions (in particular Islam and Christianity) are based on myths and people have taken these myths seriously enough to kill, oppress and judge others.
And to me, its enough reason to criticize religion.

And although I do not think highly of worship to dieties or men, do respect any religion that is open-minded, such as 'certain' groups within Buddhism or Daoism, which are non-violent nor imposing of their beliefs over others.

If Christians would mind their own spiritual business and STOP trying to force their beliefs onto others, atheists wouldn't have to educate them about why Atheism is preferable. They bring it on themselves. We'd all prefer that they just leave others alone, to enjoy their own beliefs.

Um, since when did Pagans hate other folks for being normal? ::scratches head::

Even more importantly, who said that Pagans aren't "normal"? (Though, honestly, what *exactly* does "normal" mean anyway?) Is that based simply on religious choice, or is that based on the misconception that Pagans have to be "wierd" in other ways too?

Dont generalize. not all of us do. And when some of us that normally wouldnt, do critisize, usually its because some fundamentalist (take your pick on which denomination) has spent an inordinate amount of our valuable time butting into our lives where they dont belong, and trying to convert us or just plain insulting us. much like you did when you stated that i was depressed because of no god. It was a logical choice and one i am quite proud of

Just because I do or do not respect something or someone does not mean it is beyond criticism.

Could you imagine not criticising a friend, a child, a mate, a parent, a co-worker? Ever?

Nothing - not one thing - is above criticism.
