So a guy I've briefly met twice named "Jack" texts me and invites me to see a movie w/ him and his friend "Allen".

I responded "I really want to see that movie, but I'm busy tonight. Sorry! :( Besides, I'm sure you and Allen will have a very romantic time together. ;)

Would you: 1) be offended by this 2)understand that it's a joke 3) feel like there's no chance in hell that this i like you, or 4) try again to go out with me another time?

Definitely take it as a joke and try again another time. And next time I won't invite "Allen".

Good response!

Everyone knows that's a joke. If he gets offended he's retarded.

Normally I would think you were blowing me off but the little joke at the end made it clear you are infact interested.

Overall, good job on this one.

I'm not sure I understand this dynamic. But I'll take a stab at it and say 3.

I would diffenetly know it's number 2.... I would probably do number 4 to make sure that it isn't number 3.
