I would probably be concerned as a parent but I would not judge just because of the age difference. If he treats you with respect and you are still following the rules of the house then your parents should consider. But, if it is just that your parents are not ready for you to date in general then maybe you should listen to them. Parents only look out for what is best for thier children. I know it is hard being sixteen and thinking you know what you want but remember your parents have been around a long time. Dont push a relationship too hard...just maintain a healthy friendship and your parents will really grow to like him if he is all that you say he is. GOOD LUCK!

it concerns somewhat ... yet in spite of this I honestly have study stuff on right here it extremely is obviously from somebody youthful and that they make reliable factors ... and that i might hear to them ... the different area is the extra youthful young ones (11 to twenty somethings) who've very black and white thinking and that's the mentality of a baby, not an person, so i in simple terms smile and browse over their solutions ... like those that rant approximately what they experience is powerful and by no potential extremely answer the question, they are extra interested in people understanding they have politically superb commonly used viewpoints, to slot in i assume ... i bear in recommendations being 20 something and thinking there replaced into in simple terms one outstanding way for issues to be in my recommendations at that age ... the older you get, with extra existence journey and the fewer politically superb turns right into a concentration and actuality is extra of a concentration ... yet there are people born with reliable animal karma and which would be obtrusive from little young ones to senior voters ... i don't think of i can assert how knowledgeable a individual could be to possess a canines through fact some people without a clue, get a canines and get it outstanding away ... others take a while to verify ... and others are idiots who might have canines regardless of their IQ ... there is no administration over that and there by no potential would be ... absolutely everyone can very own a canines, know-how has not something to do with it ...

I don't see any problem with it, otherwise everyone would marry someone who HAS to be of their age, and that's kinda stupid. My husband is 4 year my senior, and I have a friend who got married with a man 10 years her senior, and they're happy. Probably your parents don't feel comfortable at the moment cos you're still in high school and he's already 19 and all. It wouldn't be a prob after you grad, I guess.

I'll back away from the consensus here and say that I don't see a HUGE issue with the age difference between you two.
HOWEVER, you're 16. Nothing lasts forever. Causing a huge rift between your parents now isn't going to help matters. Sure, you feel like Romeo and Juliet, but really...we're not in a Shakespeare play here and you still have to deal with your parents.
Sit down and talk to them. Find out if it's more besides his age. Maybe you can work something out.

they have a problem because your under age and he's over. 3 years is nothing later on when you get older, but for now yea, it is. You are lucky to have parents that want to protect you. If you can keep going slow until you become of age and he can wait for you, then you're sure to be happy in your future. Trust your parents on this one....

He is a little old for you! If he really loves you he will wait till you are of age! You have a lot to do and a lot to see yet..Don't get involved with an older guy! He's more than likely been there and done that! Your just starting...If you really want to be with him take it slow!

My friend is 16 and dating a 20-year-old, and I swear I wouldn't be surprised if they got married (they're about the only high school couple I can really say this for, but...). Do what makes you happy.
