I start Windows Xp Home Edition
It tells me I need to activate
I choose customer rep' option
It works

I turn it on again the next day
I must repeat the process I did yesterday

Its been doing these for a few weeks now
Help?

Did you go to Microsofts web page and register your activation # there? That may help?

I doubt that would work because as far as I remember the customer rep option is only for folks to ring Microsoft to activate when they do not have an internet connection. To activate over the net you have to choose the correct option. Once activated, that install of windows is tied to that computer.

microsoft is at a point where they are trying to find out why people have not upgraded to vista. so they have sent out a file that checks to see if ur version of xp has been activated. search on google to find out more on it. IT will help is solving this issue.
