Hi. What are the chances of becoming legally blind? Taking into consideration that I have astigmatism and my family has no history of blindness?

What I know is that astigmatism can be easily treated. Going into treatment to correct it would be the best thing you need to think about. Chances are, with treatment, proper care and precautions it will give a very small room for chances of becoming legally blind.

Negligence of such condition however would make the condition severe which will make the vision blurred at all distances. That would increase the chance of becoming legally blind.

There are various factors that could affect your eyesight as well. Though there could be some which are beyond our control, thinking of the best care for your health would count a lot.
