Dry cracked lips usually indicate a sign of dehydration whether it be from not drinking enought fluids or from being in the sun too long. Either way, you probably have to work from the inside out. Drink plenty of fluids and use petroleum jelly (its natural and has no artificial ingredients in it) on your lips for several days. If there is still dry skin, brush lightly with water and a toothbrush. Good Luck

There's actually a 3-step program you can buy at most pharmacies. I use "Skin Effects," and I like it a lot. The first step is the most important one- it gently exfoliates your lips, which removes the dead skin cells and reveals the healthy ones. The second step fills in the wrinkles, which make your lips feel and look smoother. The third step is a lip gloss to moisturize.
A cheaper method is to use a soft-bristled tooth brush (not the one you use to clean your teeth) and exfoliate your lips that way. It serves the same purpose as the first step. Follow up with a good chap stick or lip gloss. You can also buy lip moisturizer.

exfoliate and use vaseline on your lips and in the other dry areas. do not scrub too hard. if you do this and slather some on before bed you should be good to go in the AM. To keep this up. Use vaseline or carmex or even chapstick. You do not have to exfoliate each time. Just to get you started. I hope this helps.

I had really dry lips too, so I got this perscription chapstick or aveeno chapstick works really well too.
You could also try soft lips brand. They've got all these good flavors too! (you should try raspberry) Also there is vaseline lipgloss, or aquafina lipgloss(yes aquafina!!) isn't that cool?
also you can try lip scrub
and wear sunscreen on your lips.
also this really works: to make your own lip scrub put a teaspoon of babyoil and a teaspoon of sugar and mix together. then rub all over your lips. good luck!!!!

use Carmex in the yellow & white small container. Make sure that when you buy it, DON'T buy the carmex in the tube, because as you reapply it through the day, a thick white film will build up on your lips and in the corner of your mouth. It's very unatractive~~~~~> http://carma-labs.com/

Niacin deficiency, most likely. Take a balanced low dosage B-vitamin or multi-vitamin every couple of days and avoid eating too much rice or any other food with high-gluten starches . They deprive you of your body's niacin level, even though most try to compensate for this by being niacin enriched.

well, at bath and body works, they have that line of lip gloss/balm/buffers. use the buffer(it's really nice, it's like lip balm with grains of sugar in it to buff off dead skin and it tastes really good) and then use the balm. beautiful lips in hardly any time.
