Of course not, it's just highly unlikely. So is the existence of Santa, but you can't disprove him either.

All the proof I need is called "common sense."
Let's see here, there is a big mysterious being watching over us to make sure we don't step out of line, yet nobody has ever seen him/her/it. That's like a parent tell their child that if they don't behave in a store, the hairy fanged store monster will beat their @$$. Would you believe that?
Also, their is the suggestion of the big bang theory. Does it not make more sense that the universe started as an explosion rather than a creation of an extremely high-power being? On that note, if God created everything, where the heck did God come from?
Oh that's right, because man created God.

Obviously, no two points of view are ever the same. Ask 10 people to describe a traffic accident and you will get 10 different answers. All 10 people will truly believe they are telling the truth.
There is no proof either way. But that isn't the point. I don't tell anyone they are foolish or misguided for believing the way they do. I expect others to treat me the same.

Is there proof that the Tooth Fairy, Pink Unicorns, the Hindu God Vishnu, Zeus, Ba'al, or Thor don't exist?
As soon as you can understand why you don't believe in those myths/Gods, you will understand why I don't believe in Yahweh (assuming that is the God of which you speak). We are all atheists in respect to most Gods, atheists just go one God further.

Yes, there is proof god does not exist. Over 100 years ago, a young boy in South China showed the villagers that god did not exist by breaking off the arm of a wooden idol in a Chinese temple. "If the god can not protect himself, how can he protect you?", the boy asked. He grew up to be Dr. Sun Yatsen, the father of the Republic of China.
Don't you think that is good enough proof for the non-existence of the Chinese god? Would you accept that it is good enough evidence that God did not exist if nothing happens to me after I burn down his church? Actually I don't have to do that. When a tornado swept through a town and all buildings, including the church, in its path were completely destroyed, it is good enough evidence for me that God does not exist.

Actually there is no evidence that Jesus actually existed. There is no archaeological evidence of an exodus, flood of the world etc. That is proof there isn't a Christian God. The world is a mysterious place, nature is a higher power than us, and is in front of our eyes. Is that God then?

Who says you can't prove a negative?
I can prove I'm not 10' tall.
There are things however that you can't absolutely prove are untrue, but you can demonstrate that their existence is unlikely.
For example I can't 100% prove Santa Claus is a myth, but I can point to the fact there are no known witness who have seen him and there are no letters or documents that could reasonably be attributed to him, therefore on the balance of probabilities Santa does not exist.
On the other hand, there is evidence that Jesus existed, there are eyewitness reports from people who walked and talked with him and who saw him do miraculous things.
Jesus claimed to be God.
Witnesses say he died and rose again.
Therefore on the balance of probabilities Jesus was God and therefore God does exist.

no. So anyone can make something up and tell you its real and you'll believe them just because there's no proof it isn't real? What a gullible little girl you are!
example: If someone told you Harry Potter was actually a real person, you'd want evidence right? Otherwise you'd have to conclude they were lying. So if someone tells you God exists, you should ask for evidence for that too.

No, there is no proof that anything does not exist.
You see, to think rationally, you must always believe only in things that do have evidence to supports its existence, otherwise you will believe god, the toothfairy, goblins, demons, the invisible pink unicorn, and all other things that do not have evidence to support their existence.

No there isn't proof that he doesn't exist, but in the absence of proof that he does, logic would choose the former over the latter.

its impossible to prove either situation because the existence of god is a belief. if u believe there is a god then s/he exists and there is no need to prove it. on the other hand, if u believe that god doesn't exist then s/he is non-existent in your mind and there is no need to prove god's non-existence. it is important to remember that our beliefs shape our reality and a person will never be able to prove whether or not there is a god. god is a manifestation of humanity's thought processes and nothing more than a way of explaining events that otherwise couldn't be explained. so the reality is that god is both existent and non-existent. (i find it to be an amusing paradox)
