Most likely, yes. You can help by taking driver's education offered by your school or a private driver's school.

Until you are 25 you will pay higher insurance. Never drink alcohol and get in a car, never get a ticket or in an accident, wear your seat belt, don't drive a sports car and stay with the same insurance company until you are 26 and that will help lower your insurance premiums dramtically. Good luck.

Yes it will, about $40-50 a month. But a good way to help your parents is do good in school, your insurance company will give your parents a good students discount if you get a 3.0 or higher.

Peppermintand popcorn has the right answer - but try to get them to switch to an insurer that gives named drivers credit for going accident free. That way when you come eventually to pay for your own insurance you will get a no claims discount (assuming that you haven't had an accident by then!)

In one word - - - YES
THe best thing to do is not to add you as a driver till you reach the age of 21.
Or get a car with the lowest ins group of 1 and build your own no -claim bonus.

If you have a drivers license, your parents are required to add you to their insurance coverage because you could drive.
