The UTU no longer exists. The UTU (United Transportation Union [also covered bus drivers]) merged with the BLE (Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers) and is now the BLET (Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen) and an off shoot of the parent union, the Teamsters.

UTU is still representing trainmen.
The BLE merged with the teamsters and besides representing locomotive engineers represents trainmen.
they could never agree enough to merge.
