yeah so i can feel this bump on my throat that has been there for a pretty long time [like 3 months?]. my friend's mom is a nurse and she recomended getting it checked out just in case it's somehting bad, but i'm kinda scared to. its located near where a male's adam's apple would be, but higher. i can't see it if i tilt my head back, but i can feel it. its a hard, oval-shaped bump. any ideas of what it might be before i go to a doctor's?

Get it checked out.
It depends on other symptoms, but sound as if it could be a goitre. That is a swollen thyroid gland. Can happen for many reasons other than cancer and is treatable.
