So...tomrrow im gettin my rib tattoo...but i have a little sunburn on my stomach and chest area is this going to affect anything? Increase the pain?

it isn't a good idea to get tattooed if you have a sunburn. if any area of the skin that is burned is to be tattooed it could cause complications. a burn is a serious injury to your skin. a tattoo is an open wound. to add that on top of a burn is dangerous and harder for your body to heal.

also, just so you know... after you get tattooed you need to limit your exposure to sun. uv rays break down the ink in your tattoo, over time it will look awful. you must protect your tattoo which means protecting your skin. sunscreen does not protect the ink in your tattoo.

lol, i did the same thing this weekend!!! it will be fine as long as the tattoo has been there a while (meaning youdidn't just get it last week) my sunburn is on my back!!! ouchy

Now, take a pen and draw over your sunburn... does it hurt??? Now just imagine a needle going through that area. Increase pain... yes!

Yup, it's going to hurt more.

Make sure you put sunblock on it after you get it. You don't want to go through all that pain and have the sun fade it so it looks like crap.

well when u get a tattoo your skin is opened up so the ink can be absorbed... so i think it will make more pain
