They are just seekers, not really atheists.
The atheists I know would think discussing religion to be a waste of time.

Isn't it weird when christians ask questions of atheists? That sound kind of fishy to me...

Atheism is a belief system. It's makes claims it can't prove. The claim that "there is no God" has never been proven. Therefore, since it's not science (repeatable, falsifiable) it is merely a worldview that requires a certain amount of faith. It requires faith that all future evidence, undiscovered at this point, will lead the the conclusion "there is no God". Therefore anyone subscribing to this "belief" is exercising "faith" and faith essentially amounts to religion.
So as religion, or at least a worldview, atheists certainly have a place here in asking and answering religious or spiritual questions.

No what would be weird is that some Christians (and some Muslims) think they 'own' not only spirituality but the *entire* moral debate.
Not only that but they expect me to be quiet and listen to all the cr*p they spout about me for not believing in their gods.
I don't follow a theistic cult, but I am a spiritual person.
Go figure where your jackboot falls on my freedom to belong on a discussion about spirituality and religion that not only affects me, but my fellow humans. Your arrogance and bigotry is a mouthpiece for your religion, I humbly suggest you use it wisely.

It would seem fishy to someone why goes through life with blinders, who is not interested in what other people have to say.

Odd. Theists accept the delusion of a god. I did not think that you would find anything fishy.

If they would keep spirituall questions in the "Religion and Spirituality" page instead of adding it to the main answers page, you wouldn't have that problem.

I may not be religious, but I have opinions about religion that I would like to share. I also have a lot of religious knowledge, since I was a Baptist, a Congregationalist, a Mormon and I studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses for five years. Nowhere does it say that you have to be PRO religion to post here. I supply the CON point of view.

Well John Ayer, I would say that you don't include any Buddhists in that group of atheists. Buddhists study many different religions. And some of the most spiritual people I know are atheists.

Fishy and this is the only place they can get any attention; and obviously this is their point for even denying God. I don't go around speaking out against what I DON'T believe exists.., like: outer-space people, like: free lunch, like: calories causing obesity, like: accidents, like: failure, like: "good moral atheists". Why discuss what doesn't exist? Yea, fishy.

What's more baffling is why people think the whole "atheists shouldn't be in the R&S" plethora of questions haven't already been asked about 20830213209390182 + times before.
