If its whole fruit like an apple or pear, 1 piece is a serving.
If its a loose raw fruit or veggie, like grapes or shredded lettuce, 1 cup is a serving.
If its cooked or processed like apple sauce or canned tomatoes, a 1/2 cup is a serving.

are you talking about serving size ? well if you eat bread one slice is a serving size. So a sandwich has two servings of grain that you need. i think dairy is an ounce per serving not for sure. there are different types of food charts now that don't have serving size but oz. instead that make it a lot easier.

Maybe it's just me but how lazy are you? There's about 3 million web sites that give approximate serving sizes of different foods, but if you're that dumb here's the rule of thumb: a serving of meat is a piece the size of a deck of cards, of cheese two dice, of milk one cup, of nuts 1/4 cup,of beans/legumes 1/2 cup. Vegetables one cup, fruit 1/2 cup. Grains and other starches one cup-about the size of a tennis ball-or one slice of bread. Fats, a piece about the size of your thumb.
