Communism is an economic movement. Atheism is a religious one.

There is almost nothing in common. Communism was a political system, based on an erroneous theory of economics; the rejection of religion was peripheral to the main thesis. Atheists see no reason to believe in any sort of deity, there being not a shred of evidence to support any such view. But political and economic views among atheists are anything but uniform.

This is just about the stupidest post I've ever seen. You don't know what atheism is. We just don't believe in God. In order to hate something, one must accept it's existence. How can I hate something that I don't believe exists. What if I asked you, "why do you hate unicorns?" The question doesn't make sense, right? Second, there atheism is just a word to define someone who does not believe in god. Communism is a political philosophy. You're comparing apples to oranges.

WTF? how stupid are you?

atheism is the lack of belief in god
Communism is a political ideology regarding the distrubtion of wealth and property.
Just because you are an atheist doesn't make you a communist and you don't necessarily have to be an atheist to be a communist (although if you're a "true" communist you really should be).

Do you not go to school or something?

Uh... no.

Atheists do not believe in any god. They don't hate or reject anything, they just do not believe in a deity.

Communism is an ideology that seeks to establish a classless, stateless social organization based on common ownership of the means of production. It is entirely possible to be a Communist and still be religious.

They both spend money does that make them alike?
Several religions are not Christ based, does that make them socialists?
One is an economic system and one is a belief system.
Atheists don't hate God and Jesus Christ, they simply don't share your belief system. You don't hate what you don't feel exists, it would be like your hating the tooth fairy.

Atheists don't reject and hate God. they simply do not believe that any gods exist. That's quite different than communist philosophy. I don't know how you even make a comparison.

I don't think communists reject god...you are probably just confused... thinking since a high percentage of Russians are atheist, that all communists must reject god. get yourself together man!

trying for the good old guilt by association i see... nice one. i'm not a communist because i don't believe state ownership of all property is a good idea. communism is not atheism - i mean try telling that to the various religious cults that operate as communes. if anything christianity and capitalism are strange bedfellows - not to say either one are absolutely bad, they just seem antithetical to each other.

Oh yes, you do not stand in our shoes, so OF COURSE you know how we are and what we think! How could I be no naive to think we should be able to speak for ourselves!

I may reject the CONCEPT of your deity and his magic son, and I may get tired of your religion (AND questions like this because they are asked just about EVERY day), but I have never hated them.

So how about not being so ignorant and thinking you are so much better and higher then us, not to mention ARROGANT, and let US speak for US.
