hey i am wondering if the ps3 is worth it, neone no, i know after this year it will be, but i need someone who owns a ps3 to tell me that it is worth it
i am buying one that comes with 5 blue ray movies and a blueray remote

I own a PS3 and yeah its defo worth the money. A lot of the enjoyment from it comes from online gaming such as you can do in Resistance Fall Of Man and Motorstorm. The games i own are Resistance Fall of Man, Virtua Fighter 5, Motorstorm and The Darkness. They are all great games and 2 of them are only on Ps3. Back to the point.... The ps3 is well worth it but i really recommend trying to hook it up to the internet. You will enjoy it much more. :) Hope i helped

The first 2 people that answered this question don't know what they are talking about. I've had my 60GB PS3 since December last year and it is totally worth it and haven't had any problems with it. The price has dropped for the 60GB version so I say take advantage of it. The PS3 is getting more PS3 exclusive game titles than the 360 is and the PS3 doesn't break down like so many 360's.
Also, if you like action and adventure games, be sure to pick up Lair and Heavenly Sword for the PS3 when it comes out next month. Resistance Fall of Man and Motorstorm are 2 great games that are already out.

Take advantage of the $499 60GB while it lasts. It's well worth the money compared to all the accesories you have to buy for the 360. You can't beat free online play either. Some serious games are right around the corner and the blue ray player for movies is top notch excellent. Oh and don't worry, it won't overheat and die like that other console. I had mine since November and I love it.

i am a ps3 owner and i can definatlly tell you it is worth it plus your lucky u only have to pay $500.00!! i have had absolutly no problems with it at all since i bought it a mounth ago!! btw you should get 300 the movie for it!! it looks AWSOME in blu-ray!!! also dont get armored core 4 it kinda sucks in my opinion!! since i only have two games im going to suggest out of the games i have you should buy full auto 2!!!
oh make sure that you have a HDTV! if you dont have a HDTV then dont get it its not worth it!! but if you want to spend alot more money for a t.v then go with a 1080p resolution! because its the best there is right now and if you get one 1080p make sure it is bigger than 42in because if it is any smaller you wont be able to tell the differance between 1080i and 1080p and you would have waisted some of your money on a tv that you cant see any differance between the 2!!plus its not recomended that you get a plasma because they get burn in!!
the t.v stuff was just incase you didnt know that you need a HDTV!

Definately worth it. I have been running mine almost non stop for 4 months without a problem. The browser is great (i'm using it now to write this), the list of games coming out is awesome and the features are fabulous. Every couple of months Sony release a new firmware update that adds even more features. Plus you get blue ray which looks incredible! (blue ray is going to be the winning format).
I honestly can't fault it. Best thing i've bought in years.

I have mine since March - no problems whatsoever. Really enjoy. It's much stronger than coffin 360. There is one disappointment with Ps 3 - not too many games. But don't worry. Till spring 2008 we'll have around 380 titles to choose from.

I love my PS3 and waiting for more ps3 games that will come next couple of days. if you bought a PS3 it will be worth it in the long run it has less console bugs and will have a new ps3 gme franchise.

xbox 360 sucks really bad and xbox live has crappy service and theres not enuff games on xbox there only like 6 good games out and im gonna buy a used ps3 asap cause i got the ring of death on the crapbox and you should buy it

yes it worth it i think the first guy just wanted to ditch the ps3 and i would say i haven't had problems. with mine but anyways i would like to say it worth every dollar and since the price drop i think that this is the time to get it and of course your getting a good deal for me i had my since jan. and i love it i would say get resistance fall of man it the way to go and of course try to get online it complete the ps3 and remember sony does have upgrade and those include upgrade in game play and feature most recent offer wallpaper which mean you can use picture. anyways i think it worth it and you should get one your be glad you did....and as far as game their going to be coming out soon and i know for a fact that it just going to get better...

I had a ps3 and it sucked. No games at all! I would seriously rather have a ps2 than a ps3! Dont get one you will be dissapointed!
