I asked a question related to this before, but I need a little more help. My fathe came over from Italy when he was three. Its been over 50 years, he has opened, owned and operated a legal company for over 20 of them. He has a house, married, obviously kids. He just is not sure if when he was younger (a child), he was ever made a citizen. He would like to know, but does not know where to go to check. He is a paranoid kinda person, afraid of gettin deported if he isnt. But he has never done anything wrong, so I keep telling him he won't be. He does have a legal SS# in his name, so I assume he is legal, perhaps naturalized when he was younger. We would just like to know where to go to check.

If he has an SSN that was issued to him, then he is either a legal citizen or a legal resident alien.

He can check with the Immigration agency to determine his current status, and can apply for citizenship if he is not already.
