i had the same situation a few weeks ago...my friend had a pool party and i thought that i didn't burn so of course i opted not put on sun screen...i was bright as blood too...aloe didn't' work either.. I couldn't sleep, move or wear clothes...it sucked big time...all i could do was run a cloth under cool water and lay it across my stomach it was the only relief that worked...some might say coco butter but if the aloe isn't working than the coco butter won't either...so i guess time sweetie...it took about 4-5 days for it to get better where i could actually sleep...so just keep the cool cloth on the burn but not to cold because otherwise it will sting...luke warm baths or showers and just time...wear loose clothing if nothing at all...i think those 4-5 days were my fiance's favorite days because i walked around without a top on....good luck and i hope this helps...

aloe vera works the best.
There cactus works better i find, but the gel that you can buy at the drug store also helps.
Try to take a cool bath for now and that should help the pain. (ice doesn't really help though)
After your bath apply the aloe and then just lay down.
The pain should be gone in an hour or two.
If it's unbarable then take painkillers.
Advil is good for pain.

Yikes! I always put aloe vera on but you said it wasn't working. Hmmm... Maybe you should take a cool bath. My sister said that works for her. It "cools you body to make the hot stinging go away" as she says. Lol. I hope it gets better!!!

Aloe Vera...the best is the pure form directly from the plant but if you don't have one the commercial version does help.

I have this gel from Banana Boat. It is called Sooth-A-Caine. It is a aloe vera spray gel with fast acting burn relief and instant cooling effect. It works great.

haven't you read or heard about skin cancer being the number one cancer? How can you possibly go out into the sun without a sun block?
Put noxzema cream on the sunburn and they will take down the pain.

Take the maximum dose of any of the NSAIDS on the market. Aleve, Advil etc. Cool compresses will help as will one of the topical gel products that contain Lidocaine. I would avoid any creams or lotions. They can make it worse. If you get blisters see your doctor.

If the tea bag or the vinegar doesnt seem to help get some Bag Balm and rub it in really well. You will stink but it will help to heal it.

this sounds dumb, but get a family size tea bag and wet it and rub it over the sunburn area, this will take the sting out.
