Here's a Question for the Contrarians?

Just more of our "jackbooted" way of looking at things. I've heard it said over and over and over and over and over on here that Al Gore came up with the whole thing. Now Global Warming was discussed in my science classes back in the 60's along with gravity, genetics, and other things. Al Gore was a Junior when I was a Senior. So is it that he was this unusually influential teenager, or is there a time machine involved somewhere, or how exactly do you come up with that?

He didn't come up with it, he just cashed in on it. Al Gore and wikipedia are the two things that should be left out of any intelligent discussion on global warming.

Washington Irving once walked across the Hudson River to Stony Point on the ice. You can no longer do that. There's no ice. So warming has occurred.

As far as some wannabe politician "branding" global warming as his "Big Slam Dunk" issue, Al Gore tried to do that---- until we found out he had a carbon footprint as big as Rhode Island.

The disinformation/Misinformation industry is so overwhelming now, that young people have almost no way to judge truth. Just celebractivists, posing for animal crackers.

Al Gore never said he invented the Internet. That was a political lie by his opponents. The man who has perhaps the best claim to have invented the Internet, Vint Cerf, says he supports the truth of what Gore actually said. Details and the actual quote here:

Gore was instrumental in changing the Internet from an academic curiosity to a public utility with widespread use by ordinary people.

And Al Gore has nothing to do with the science that proves global warming is mostly man made. He's just spreading the word.

The jackbooted leftists are using global warming as a way to punish big business for "destroying" the earth for profits.

Since it is a well known fact the lefties will lie, cheat and steal in order to promote their socialist agenda, many capitalists remain unconvinced about global warming.

Really? You were studying global warming in the 60's? Did you take a break in the 70's to study global cooling and then decide global warming was the bigger money raiser/scare tactic in the 90's?

And I believe Al Gore brought global warming to light right after inventing the internet. Sorry, his words not mine.

Maybe, I was being taught that we were entering into a new ice age back then, and that "the big one" was going to hit California "not if, but when", and the consensus of political scientist told us that we had to be in Viet Nam because "the domino" effect would cause Thailand to fall to the communist if we weren't.

Back in the 1960's we were told we could protect ourselves from a nuclear blast by ducking and covering ourselves under our desk at school.

Everybody knows he didnt come up with the idea. He just copped a few notes from working people. Made up the rest as he went along. Now he lives off the proceeds of his airhead book.

Scientists have been studying it for many years. The earth has been warming for hundreds of years. Al was just smart enough to cash in on it with a Book, Movie, and $50,000 speaking engagements.
