Me and my boyfriend have been together for 4 months which is a long time for me because ive never been with a guy longer than 1 month. (I get bored easy) Hes real protective over me. He got out his gun when i told him a guy left bruises on my arm. And hes a thug so he wouldve done it. And all his friends tell me he loves me and he would never cheat. He even swore on his daughters life that he wouldnt cheat. But he has a past. He even gave me his favorite jersey and he has NEVER gave a girl anything. He reassures me all the time that he loves me but im not sure.

No, he doesn't love you. He sees you as an object to posses and if you stick with him, you'll end out getting seriously hurt.

He sounds like bad news to me.
Any guy who's gonna shoot anyone for a reason like that or swear ANYTHING on his daughter's life is in no mindset to love a girl.
And it's easy to love a girl when it comes to her looks, her quirks, her positive qualities,
but it takes a real man to love her when she's irritated and angry or upset or frustrated. Do you think he is a real man?
Also, I know you don't want to hear this, but four months isn't that long. It is a good stretch of time, but don't get too hasty. After a year has gone by, you'll know he's not just fooling around. Just give it time and enjoy the relationship in the meantime.

I think he might be possessive. 1st posessiveness and then abuse. Why would you want to date someone whos so quickly to thro his life away? This guy hs no future. Trust me when i say this, a guy friend is gonna say what he tells them to say. You say he never gave a girl anthing that might or might not be true. He is not gonna tell you about his entirre past. You are in for future heartbreak. Why would thiis guy swear on his daughter? Is he even takeing care of his daughter? Please dont ake posessiveness as love. It seems like you bragging that he's a thug, and the thugs that i know are heartless. Do you really want that?

I believe by your past experiences, you learn how to handle a specific situations -- that your can catch the man of your dreams and keep him for the long-term. All men want to find a woman that gives them that feeling, too. But men aren't easy to understand. And when you find a good man, he doesn't come with steps you would want him to act. If you feel he is so different than other men you met, try to keep him if your heart feels he is sincere.

Sounds like he loves you with some over protective tendencies. If hes the one telling you that he loves you, hes probably not guilty for something, but speaking his feelings. Thats just my stand from a guys view, but I can't tell you really how thugs truly express their love for their mate.

i think he does..!it seems to me that u r very very special to...and he talks about u to his friends but boys do that but not like that..and he's telling them how much he loves..u and you're not getting bored with him..and swearing on peoples lives,,,,.. and its his DAUGHTER's life..girl u must b doing something that no girl ever has with him...he wants to change with u he wants 2 Make u the 1st real girl he loves actually loves...cherish it..i think the question is do u love him the way he loves u?!u may not want a relationship like this b/c u aren't use to it but he's changing for u u change for him a little do something u haven't done with your old boyfriends..(not talking about sex(but u can if u want to it's your life )) but something u didn't tell the others something special or try something new..but he shouldnt swear on anybodies life but remeber guys ar epretty sneaky too..they try there hardest and his friends maybe a cover up but u never know and he''s a thug i dated a "thug" he wasnt he calmed he was a crip and he had his flag and everything and he killed people made threstrs to bloods blah blah but he wasnt truely thugish..any way he ended uo cheating on me and he told my friends he loved me..he wasnt a real thug but he kinda was just out doing the next thing..but also he wanted me to help him change he wanted to but he wanted the right person to be there and help him but i didnt want to because he was cheating on me..b4 i found out i did...so he may wanna change....and help him ..You mean alot to him...just think about how much he means to u and howmuch u love him or if u even love him at all..

He sounds over protective and I guess that could be love. I do hope that you will ask him to never take out that gun again.
Please if you ever have a "gut feeling" that he's playing you....please get out of the relationship as soon as you can.

just because he pulls out a gun and says he'll never cheat doesn't mean that he won't, it just shows he gets really jealous. also four months is nothing, you're still in the honeymoon stage, relax and just wait and see, why are you trying to reassurance from his friends, their his friends, they will telll you whatever
