Any advice on how to make a realistic looking silencer out of items around your house?

a pvc pipe and a silicon gel for attaching it.
painted with a flat black spray paint and stenciled with white modeling paint.
a simple piece of paper or cardboard with a hole cut out of it will make a nice cap for it.
It's illegal to wave that thing around in public exp if it looks like a real gun and silencer. It will gain alot of attention that you don't want.

Take a toilet paper roll (after the paper has been used, of course), tape cardboard over the ends, cut holes in the ends to allow projectiles to pass through, and paint (or ink) it black. Attach with RTV (silicon adhesive), the residue of which will be fairly easy to remove from your 'toy'.

Try a prescription container, holes through both ends, black paint, and some holes in the outside.

A 2-liter bottle works, but it doesn't look like that.
