This is not an “if” question for me any more. I went on a around the world trip last year and did the pacific, South East Asia, India, Dubai and Egypt. In the process I stopped in Vietnam and it just stunned me. Hoi An, Vietnam is a World Heritage city that is located by the river about 3 kilometers from the beach. It is absolutely gorgeous and very inexpensive. I was supposed to be in Vietnam for a week and stayed two months. In the process I found a really nice house for sale. It cost all of $15000 US so I bought it and moved lock stock and barrel to Vietnam. Great people, food, scenery and a life style that I wish I would have started earlier in life. I am healthier and happier that I have been in years and… There you go. Vietnam is my choice and I could have lived anywhere in the world. Who’d a thunk?

I grew up in the southwest, now living in Ohio.
My place? Elko, Nevada: the forgotten corner of "Big Sky" country.

Large percentage of people who are of my beliefs and faith, low crime, cheap land, no humidity, bonafide seasons, 11,000 ft. mountains. I would still be within an easy drive of Salt Lake City, Reno, Las Vegas, and Twin Falls, Idaho.
I know my daughter would love it there, and I would move tomorrow if I could get full custody of her.
