It's not a good idea to smoke weed while taking psychiatric medication. Ask your doctor and you'll get the same answer.

Lorazepam (Ativan) is a benzodiazepine class drug with a short to medium duration of action. It acts as a sedative/hypnotic and a anxiolytic. It works in subcortical levels of the CNS. The oral form reaches peak level in 1-6 hours with a duration of 12-24 hours.

Marijuana which acts as a anxiolytic and a sedative. IT contains THC which is rapidly absorbed through the lungs, entering the bloodstream and reaches the brain within minutes, and effects become visible almost immediately. Once absorbed, THC is distributed to body tissues and accumulates in fatty tissue, reaching peak concentrations in 4-5 days. THC is then slowly released back into other body compartments, including the brain. The half-life of THC is about 7 days, and may take up to 30 days for a single dose to be eliminated from the body.

Both substances effects your brain acting as sedative/hypnotics and anxiolytics . Because Marijuana last up to a month in your system taking Lorazempam (even the day after smoking pot) at the same time is not a good idea.
