She throws up 2 or 3 times a week. Most of the time it is just slimy water and food chunks. We have tried changing her food but that hasn't helped. She has only been an inside dog for 4 months so I don't know if this has been happening since I've had her or not. She will be 3 years old in November and is a Cairn Terrier/Australian Shepherd mix. Any help would be great!

there are a lot of reasons a dog throws up. It could be anything from poor diet (I'm not saying you aren't giving it good food) to a twisted stomach (which is horriably deadly) She could ahve roundworms too which is a simple fix. Best thing to do is take her to the vet, get a fecal and some blood work done. If all that comes back normal, get her dewormed (intestional paracites don't always show up on fecal exams) and watch her. If there is any blood in the vomit or its occompied by diarrhea take her back in.

I would take her to the vet to be sure, but it sounds like Irritable Bowel Syndrome to me. A dog with IBD needs a very high quality canned food with no fillers or artificial preservatives. If you feed some kibble try a hypo-allergenic one. Better yet would be the addition of raw or home prepared foods (properly balanced by following a recipe).

Take her to the vet. Something is upsetting her stomach. Is she eating any grass outside when she goes to the bathroom? Grass can really irritate the stomach.

if she has been losing weight also, she may have a bowel obstruction. She should go to the vet.
