It means we stop letting self rule our lives, and make Christ the King of our lives. We love our King with all our heart, to worship Him and to serve Him (ie. serve Christ's interests, spread the gospel, become a Christ-like warrior). Christ cares about, fights and protects for the poor and unfortunate. And with the help of Christ, we should passionately love and fight for, and protect them as well.

Matthew 22:37-39 (New International Version)

37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[a] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[b]

" We are capable of protecting and serving only one ruler. Whoever sits as "king" within our command center is that one ruler. Whoever occupies that sacred position is crowned our dearest friend, our greatest love, and our personal biographer of life and manhood. . .
A man is called to protect and serve. The commision is clear. But nowadays, what he is supposed to protect and serve is usually quite unclear. Many leading Christian voices today offer sweet-sound alternatives to the recipe for ture manhood. They offer models that keep our Self alive, relegating the King of the universe to the unlofty status of a "theoretical king." For as long as Self remains at the center of our inner being, Christ can never be our true King.
. . . Jesus also came to deal deathblow to sin. Onew way to describe sin is this: protecting and serving our Self. Christ came to expose and root out the problem of Self ruling life. It may not feel good; it may be painful; it may be difficult to accept. But it is the Truth from which great men are made. Our King has freed us from the tyranny of Self. He has freed us from the controlling power of sin . . ."

Giving your life to Christ means you stop living your life for yourself, and start living for God.

ie dont buy a new dodge viper or corvette. Instead, help a homeless guy, give money to starving children in africa, etc. It is a great feeling to know you're helping people, and better yet showing God you will share what he gives you.

The main thing is just live according to the bible, follow the 10 commandments as best you can and whatever else God says. Also you must confess your sins before God, and truely believe in your heart that he is the creator of all.

God doesnt want your money, he wants you to be unselfish and to stop denying him.

All that is required to go to heaven is admitting you're a sinner and truely believing in him.

Life is much better when you live for Christ.

God is a concept, not something extra. And the religious (not in simple terms the christians) and not eve each and every of the religious by using the way, yet a number of them have not a clue what it extremely potential to be ethical. Being ethical isn't obeying the guidelines of despite scripture they suspect in or obeying the ten commandments. Its approximately doing the wonderful element that's desperate by using avoiding unacceptable effects and reward of the human and animal species. that's found out from existence journey and impact of alternative genuine people.

Huge question. I will answer your question with a question:

Can the Word of God answer this? If you're cynical and proud you will tend to say no. Therefore, you cannot truly know and appreciate the answer if you choose to disregard God's Word. I'm being blunt, I know.

So, it probably would not help to tell you because the natural man cannot hear the things of God. If you really want to know then email me and perhaps God will peradventure. But better than emailing me is praying for God to show you as you go and look in His Word yourself.

I am not saying "try God". That would be like saying try this or that. God is not something you try. Again, I know I'm being blunt.

Jesus Christ was sent to the Earth 2000 years ago for one purpose, which was to teach mankind the right way to live so that they may be able to live forever. As the Son of God, Jesus showed us that by "killing one's flesh," we could build our spiritual side, which would make us worthy to establish a relationship with God. It's the only way to establish a relationship with God. Jesus wanted his disciples to give their lives - their energy, their minds, their spirit, their soul, not to Jesus, but to God. This involves abiding in the "Law of Liberty (or freedom) in preparation for Jesus' second coming.

Through his teachings, the prophets and apostles, mankind also learned that there were to be only a select group of men and women who would get that opportunity. These were called Chosen Ones. These Chosen Ones were predetermined by God well before He laid the foundation of the Earth, and it is these that will join God and Jesus in the New City of Jerusalem to live forever.

That is what giving yourself to God is all about. What you do in the flesh, in your mortal body is just a test, by God, to see if you are worthy to live way beyond your human years.

Giving myself to Him means that I let Him take all the sin (stuff that keeps me from enjoying a right relationship with God). He forgives me.

When we are chosen by God for a new life of love, we can "dress in the wardrobe God picks out for us"... compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. We can be even-tempered, contented & quick to forgive an offense.

When I give myself to Christ, I let the peace of Christ keep me in tune with others. I can understand and support others.

Don't listen to the other answers they are all wrong there is no way to correctly answer this question you can only find out for yourself. Try giving your life to Christ see if it works out for you. Go learn what He did and is doing and maybe go to some Services/Mass see for yourself, find out how Christ gave His life for you and if you are ready give your life to Him.

Jesus the Christ, died so people would not have go to hell. Also, there is two ways to die thru death and around death. Jesus when he died cut a new path around death and by living for him i.e... Holy living towards Jesus, humans can follow the path he cut.

He just want your whole heart, He wants you to listen to Him and do what it's right. You are here for a purpose, and He wants to help you to be the best you can be. He loves you and he only wants the best for you.
