It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.
However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.
(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers
Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:
(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.
(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.
(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness, I was raised Catholic. I had a few friends who were JW and they did not hate Catholics. I don't think they hate Catholics, they just don't agree w/ many of the beliefs the Catholic Church upholds. Look around, every other religion attacks the Catholic Church as well. That's the way it has always been.

Jay M Jehovahs witnesses do not believe in hell.
This was a really good time to voice some serious answers but it seems no one here really has made a point to be relevant with any serious answers.
If you hate JWs going door to door and showing up at your house then you probably would of hated Jesus when he showed up at your house because thats what Jesus did, he actually went from door to door and taught all his discples to do the same. what do you think half of what is taught in the Greek scriptures it is about the door to door ministry and sharing the good news publicly.Being a christian is far from being a personal faith. It is a very publicaly active faith.

People hate Jehovah's Witnesses because they are controlled by Satan the Devil, and Satan misleads them into thinking that Jehovah's Witnesses are the false religion, and that what they're doing is not the truth. When Armageddon comes, they will want to become Jehovah's Witnesses, but it will be too late; Just like in Noah's day.

John 7:7 world hates me bc I bear witness to the truth
John 15:19 on this account the world hates you
Pr1:29 they hate knowledge
John 17:14 the world has hated them
Luke 6:27 do good to those hating you
Mt 24:9 you will be objects of hatred by nations
Matt 10:34-42 Objects of hatred; Families divided.
(34) "Do not think I came to put peace upon the earth;
I came to put, not peace but a sword.
(35) For I came to cause division, w/ a man against his father, and a dghtr against her mother, and a young wife against her mom-in-law.
(36) Indeed, a man's enemies will be members of his own household.
(37) He that has greater affection for father or mother than for me is not worthy of me; and he that has greater affection for son or dghtr than for me is not worthy of me.
So as all can clearly see;
it is not the individual person who chooses to reject or refuse to align themselves w/ 1 who has rejected Jesus' own teachings.
But the person is clearly following Jesus.
And his God and Father in heaven Jehovah.
And so it follows, that J's W's do refuse to accept the ways
of the world & of Christendom;
"that whatever you do, is o.k. & fine and acceptable,
to me & to the Lord Jesus.
And to Jehovah the Sovereign Lord of all the universe."
This is the way it is w/ the world & Christendom.
Not the way of Jehovah's ppl / his Witnessess.
As to what Linedancer said; "DITTO!"

I guess it's not fair of me to answer this question, because I do not hate them. I am not a religious person, but I worked with some Jehovah's Witnesses years ago and learned at bout them , they are just people with family's that like to pass out literature. That's okay, could be worse.

It is what Jesus said would happen at John 17:14:
"I have given your word to them, but the world has hated them, because they are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world."

Hate is a mighty strong word to profess. Do you know Jehovah God is the God of LOVE? It must be a really good feeling to be in that religion. I can see myself serving and being FAITHFUL to the God of LOVE. Geeeeeez, so who could be the father of HATE and ANIMOSITY? Surely not the Jehovah God! Why the father of Hate must be Satan!
How wonderful to be such loving people (Jehovah Witnesses).
Jesus said, "Beware of the wolf in lamb (oops I mean sheep) clothing. For they are ravenous wolves ready to devour (kill you spiritually) you!"

Who said I hated them? They're people, just like anyone else. People assume they're out to take over and convert everyone, but that's not true; they go out and tell people about their beliefs because they believe God has called them to do so. Also, you'll notice that no "forcing" of religion occurs; if you tell them you're not interested, they will leave you alone and won't be mean or forceful about it.

Actually, Jehovah’s Witnesses are interested in you and your welfare. They want to be your friends and to tell you more about themselves, their beliefs, their organization, and how they feel about people and the world in which all of us live. To accomplish this, they have prepared this brochure for you.In most ways Jehovah’s Witnesses are like everyone else. They have normal problems—economic, physical, emotional. They make mistakes at times, for they are not perfect, inspired, or infallible. But they try to learn from their experiences and diligently study the Bible to make needed corrections. They have made a dedication to God to do his will, and they apply themselves to fulfill this dedication. In all their activities they seek guidance from God’s Word and his holy spirit.There was opposition to Jesus’ preaching, and he said that his followers also would be opposed. When some were impressed with Jesus’ teaching, religious opposers retorted: “You have not been misled also, have you? Not one of the rulers or of the Pharisees has put faith in him, has he?” (John 7:46-48; 15:20) Many who advise you not to study with the Witnesses are either uninformed or prejudiced. Study with the Witnesses and see for yourself whether your Bible understanding increases or not.—Matthew 7:17-20.
