Does someone who suffered for the faith or spent his life in good works get rewarded the same as the average Christian?

Do you get extra rewards for leading people to Christianity?

Lastly, what happens on Judgement Day if a Christian wrongs someone in life and never repayed the wrong in life?

Is there any recourse for the one wronged?

In Islam, we say that Allah may forgive the person, but never takes away the right of the person wronged to receive justice, even in the next world. So the wronged could receive some of the good deeds of the one who wronged him or could have some of his sins applied to the account of the one who wronged him if he chooses not to forgive, which, in turn, has its own reward.

Is there a similar idea in Christianity?

Ray- I did answer this from an Islamic perspective in the add. details. There is no limit to what could be added to the account of the one doing the wronging.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The "foundation" this passage is speaking of is salvation. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation (John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.). "Building upon that foundation" is speaking of our works. What we do for God would be the gold, silver, & precious stones. Our wrong-doings after salvation would be the wood, hay, & stubble. So the person that does more for God would receive more of a reward, because he has built more upon his foundation.

A lot of people think the more self-righteous they are the better the rewards are in heaven.

Jesus told a parable in Matthew 20 about a landholder who hired laborers to work in the field. Some put in the entire day and some just an hour. All received the same wage.

I believe that the rewards in Heaven may be different for everyone but there will be more of an equal distribution.

In Christianity we believe in forgiveness for wrongs so there is no need of punishment or revenge in this life or the next.

Christ told us to turn the other cheek, but Christ did not tell us to turn it twice and Christ told us to sell our clothes and buy a sword. Luke 22:36

What an excellent question. And I'm not sure if I can answer adequately, but I'd like to try. I'll take your questions in order.
1. Yes, I do believe there are "benefits" for being a martyr. And for doing good deeds, although the good deeds do not get you in, per se. This comes from a general reading of the OT and NT.
2. Extra rewards for converting...no, I don't believe there are rewards for that. That is our duty, and as such, it's expected of us.
3. This is the hardest one to answer, as it is more a question of justice and not spirituality. Sadly, I don't have a good answer for you. I can say that I was taught by some of my older mentors to be very careful about "damning" someone, as, if they go to hell after I give them directions, I can be held accountable. We are also taught, as Christians, that we are to forgive those who have wronged us. If we don't, we are held accountable for that too. So, the concept of taking somebody else's "reward" if they have wronged me and I choose not to forgive him is foreign to my belief system. I know that's not exactly what you asked, but that's the best answer I can give.

Hope this helps.
God be with you.

I don't believe in eternal rewards.

We are so undeserving of even God's grace, it is such an
absurdity to think that we will be rewarded for anything we have done in this life. To me, being with God and Jesus forevermore through eternity is the best reward anyone can get.

If a Christian sinned by wronging someone in this life and this Christian goes it heaven, it means that Jesus paid for that sin on the cross.

Just off the top of my head, I know there is the "crown of life", and then there is the "marytrs crown".

Will we have different crowns? Not sure how different these rewards are going to be...

but I know two more things I'd like to share with you...one...our works are going to be like silver and gold, tested by the fire of his righteousness...and the impurities of these works (our selfish motivations etc), will be like the dross.

So...I believe what motivates us, will also be reflected in these rewards.

Are these rewards there so we can have "bragging rights" amongst each other? doubt it...since Scripture is real clear that there will be a time in Heaven when we will all cast down our crowns, as our meager gift to Him that did so much for us, and still, it won't be enough.

I also like remembering Jesus' promise that He will go to His Father's house, where He will make one for each of us.

Think about that...the Creator of the universe, will be the architect, and builder of my very own place in Heaven. Something unique to me...something that may be pleasing to my brothers in Christ, but will be perfect for me, because He knows what I would find perfect.

Oh...and He will also tell me my name...a name known only to Him and me...a unique name! What a treasure in itself!

Salam and very good question

We know Jesus A.s. will return all religions that know Allah SWT know he will return... he will take those with him that didn't ascribe partners for Allah SWT and there is alot of christians that don't do that.. Al hamdoullah.

One good deed echos for eternity. Allah never lets any of the good deeds cast aside for anyone... not even the worst of people or the most of misguided.

In Christianity when you say he died for you, astugfarallah then you are using his body and asking his body and blood and flesh to have removed your sins no matter how great a sinner... most scholars of christianty explain pergatory and the warnings of Jesus to his followers not to commit any harmful acts against anyone, and saying 77.000 times you ahve to forgive someone.. who are they I have yet to meet them people in great numbers.

Infact there is a study on TV with Minstries where they go around asking if you don't accept Jesus how will he save you from the fire, and they ask them, did you ever lie, did you ever steal, did you ever do those things and they start crying and say well yes I did... and sure enough they say oh I am going to hell..instantly damning themselves.. WE ARE NOT THE JUDGES OF THAT DECISION.. no one on earth not the pope not Jesus or Muhammed SAW can tell you your going to hellfire... that is Allah SWT to decide that only.. so they say we use fear.. how is that when they point out call to Christianity saying if you don't accept Jesus as your lord and saviour then your going to hell.. astugfarAllah.. what about Noah As. so he lived 890 years and made that boat and shoved anmial food and turd for all that time for what.. so Jesus can come.. that don't make any sense or logic the only thing that makes is blind faith and that is what they believe in and I am sorry but I have proven Jesus is a word from english to greek to Messiah to arabic is the wiper.... THEY DIDN'T SPEAK THIS KIND OF ENGLISH TO CALL HIM JESUS..his name was Isa..a.s. more mendling and more error at the hands of mankind... The bible was made 325 years after Jesus left by the mercy of Allah, why!!!!! did anyone ask why! that don't make no sense either.

YOU ONLY HAVE TO ASK WHY AND YOU WILL SEE THEY RUN ONLY ON BLIND FAITH AND CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING I HAVE ASKED AND THEY SAID OH BROTHER YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE.. Surely my lord is justified to his creations he never leaves even the ant without its direction.. or did you forget sitting at the side of the river watching all those creatures doing whatever they do, as we just sit and watch and wonder into space... when the knowledge is been given and everything transparent and Jesus did help with that... but Muhammed SAW is the one that came after and its all over the place the proof... but again
what are they going to do with all that money they keep sending.... oh did your grandma die yes she sent everything to the vatican.. god rest her soul... WHAT ABOUT THE NEIGHBOURS 7 TO THE LEFT AND 7 TO THE RIGHT WHAT ABOUT THE BLOOD AND THE ROOTS!
Surely that is why Allah SWT calls them the lost!

Believe it or not check any of my posts you will see undenable truth and proof everytime!
Salam and may they leave Jesus and Elvis alone inshAllah!
"I'M ALL SHOOK UP AHHHAH" lmao! HAHAHAH

Works are tested, and rewards are given for good, and taken away for wrongs done. The rewards are crowns. I believe there will be position, as Jesus told of people sitting at a party.

God loves us all, and made us equal. I don't think I fully know the answer to your question, but He dosn't count our sins, so I don't think we would have to pay for something we did in the past.

Islam sounds kinda fascinating. Sorry for my ignorance, but is Islam the religion where if you do good in this life, you come back as someone with a higher rank, and if you do bad in this life, you come back in a lower rank?

God bless
