First it takes about three months for the pill to take full affect so dnt just take one and expect it to work if you have sex the next day.

The pill doesnt protect you from getting an STD or AIDS so you can double up by using a condom also it wont change anything but make you even more protected from getting pregnant. But it wont ""double"" the protection it will just VERY difficult to get pregnant but dont double the condom because sometimes that can cause the condom to break because of the friction between them! Use a condom and the pill you get more protection from pregnancy and STD and AIDS.

If you're referring to birth control pills, that should be safe enuf for you. If it weren't, you wouldn't be perscribed the medication! If you are married & are just having sex w/your husband, there shouldn't be any need for condoms. If you're not married & are having sex w/numerous partners, by all means use condoms. There are more things that can happen to you than just getting pregnant. You could come in contact w/numerous diseases of which you weren't aware of. Condoms are not only for pregnancy but for protection from numerous diseases. But if you're married & don't have to worry about anyone else other than your husband, the pill is extremely safe & can be trusted. If you want to be sure, ask the Dr, who is perscribing the pills to you. This way you'll know for sure & not have to take 50 answers that are all different & no one really can tell you for sure but someone professional.

Yeah, I'm doing the same thing, just started too. You REALLY shouldn't get knocked up with both, unless you take the pill wrong and the condom breaks.

Think of it this way, if the bc isn't taken right and you mess up, then the condom was a backup to protect you.

If the condom breaks, the bc is a backup.

The Pill will protect you from getting pregnant, but will not protect you from any sexually transmitted diseases (like syphilis, ghonorea, clamydia, or AIDS). A condom will help protect you from STD's, but nothing is 100%, except abstinence. If you know you're going to be sexually active, the pill and a condom is a good option. If you're only with one guy, and know that he's clean and safe, then the pill is sufficient.

birth control pills and condoms have their percentage rate of effectiveness. if you are monogamous and know your partner is monogamous also, and pregnancy is your only concern, then i don't see why not use both. sometimes, with certain medications, the birth control pill doesn't work, so your physician should notify you to use a condom also. however, if you have multiple partners, then pregnancy should not be your only concern, therefore, always use a condom. abstinence has the only 100% no pregnancy rate.

No birth control is completely effective so the more the better. There are also other concerns like STDs.

The only safe sex is abstinance. If you can't abstain, you must use something like a condom (in addition to your pills) to avoid the contraction of an STD. Best of luck to you my dear. Be careful, please. And, don't have sex without a condom, unless you are prepared to face the consequences. God be with you.

if you take the birth control regularly it will work. condoms will protect you from getting some diseases though. birthcontroll wont do that. some diseases you can get anyways. a condom wont stop that. do whatever you feel comfortable with though.

You should use a condom too but mostly for protection from STDs. Or, better yet, wait until you are married to have sex then you don't need to worry about it (hopefully at least....)
