Why do Christians keep saying that the translation "us" in the OT means GOD is plural ?

They have no idea about Hebrew and no idea how dangerous it is to translate revelation without having knowledge of the original language.

The "US" is used as majestic way of referring to the ONE GOD.

The Koran is translated in the same way in English --- but the Arabic is absolutey singular.

because the hebrew word eloi means god elohim means gods in psalm 86 yhwh is clearly talking to the other gods and many times in the ot yhwh mentions these other gods by name baal molok and azazel yhwh was the god of the jews not of the whole world heres the article i mentioned earlier i doubt youll read it but still you might

While is is true regarding the translation of We and Us to depict royalty in English, you have to consider that there are Numerous other scriptures in the Bible that points to the Trinity of God. In the sense of using the we, our, us translation as well as individual statements of Jesus in reference to himself, the Holy Spirit and the Father. You have to take the entire context of the Bile into consideration when interpreting scripture. You can not pick out verses and try to build a case on said verse alone. You also have to interpret meanings from the original languages , Hebrew OT and Greek NT, in which they were written.

Lets look at Exodus 20, and the Ten Commandments
I AM the Lord, your God.
Hebrew "Lord" is Jehovah, or Yahweh
Hebrew "God" is Elohim, or literally "gods"
1 John 5:7-8
talks of the three agreeing AS ONE.

I know more Hebrew study than you think. The qu'ran translators purposedly did it that way.

understand that translating greek and hebrew at the same time into english, some of the words may come out different than if it were just a one to one translation. also God is 3. father, son, and holy ghost. he is 3 in 1. confusing is it not?

Because before Jesus Christ and the N.T.,us was referred as the trinity.Father,Son and Holy spirit.
yet,the word trinity is no where found in the Bible,but it is a concept of the Union of three persons in the Godhead..

Now the writters of the King James thought they would use this verse with the word "US" to explain this idea that God's name was not the singular word, but that he was including all of his subject, either the sons of God, or the angels in Heaven, are the two most common thoughts. Not the trinity as explained by some, because no good Jew could buy the idea God was more than one. Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Well...the orignal Hebrew was plural. It was more plural than the translation made it.

The "us" is refering to Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ...
Hebrews 1:1-2 might help too:
"1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"

God created the world by Christ...

the "US" ISN'T in Revelation...it's in Genesis....

The people who first translated the books from Hebrew to Greek, and then to Latin, then to English and French and Spanish, etc. knew the language...or they wouldn't have been translating it.

It's the people who re-wrote it(or copied it by hand) had changed it, unknowingly( I hope!).
